Xhaka or doozi, cannot play both.

This is very important for those criticising either. They just do not compliment each other, they deconstruct the midfield, cannot stay compact and have a lot of the same downsides to their game. In terms of positioning and movement during transition Guendouzi is too adventurous, Xhaka too cautious, neither of them is where they should be, they both need a proper midfield general to cover for them.

Our midfield options in general are not complimentary to each other. Most people got Cazorla nostalgia, clamouring for a player like him, but I think an Arteta type (during his days as an #8) is more like what we need right now.

Why so serieuse?
Needs to be sat on the bench, so that someone from the coaching team can explain to him what his positioning should be like in different situations. His education is not over, inspite of his obvious technical abilities.

The lack of structure really exposes his lack of experience IMO. When he received v Watford, he wasnt smart enough to the press - added to the fact that the overall structure of our build up left him completely isolated at times. Xhaka is usually just about savvy enough to pop the ball back to whoever gave it to him - Guendouzis bravery leads him into these cul-de-sacs.

Not to mention that as a France international, Arsenal starter week in week out with the balls the size of grapefruits apparently. Even with all of this, he cannot receive the ball on the half turn or scan his surroundings before he controls it.

To me that is staggering. The ONLY player who should receive the ball back to goal in our team is Lacazette and Auba as they have two centre backs for company.

It is a coaching point that you pick up on and address as it's literally a sentence and demonstration to correct. If they don't do it they don't ****ing play.

****ing hero.

You could tell he was pissed about being at fault for the first goal. Seems to be the only player we have who genuinely hates losing. A fan on the pitch, **** Unai’s seven captains, I see one and it’s not even close.

Elite.

Inspired everyone around him. One of the few players who can take the game by the scruff of the neck. What a talent. Leader in the team. Unsurprisingly performs better when he's not shifted so Xhaka gets his best position.

Guendouzi time and time again keeps showing he's miles better than Xhaka but the bum doesn't have the balls to drop him. Infuriating
What a player though. Proper leadership in the 2nd half. Like watching prime Fabregas drag us to a win

Immense today. Left everything on the pitch and showed so much fight. Beautiful to see him wear an Arsenal shirt & long may it continue.

Captain material. He took responsibility and drove us forward, was the same in the 2nd half v Sp**s. He has the right amount of ****-housing skills as well. Knew when to stay down and waste a bit of time.

Love him and cant believe there are people who cant see his talent, love that he seems to care so much n we dont win today without him driving us on

But please will one of the coaches give him a slap n tell him to stop with holding imaginary cards up n dumb scorelines to rival fans

Still awful defensively but more than makes up for it with his ability. Torreira and Willock can help mitigate this but our manager doesn’t have a clue
