Wish they'd give a release date, instead of just "out before Christmas".

There are DLCs now. You can "buy" a DLC that will increase your transfer budget, for example.

You could just use the data editor for that....

You can only do that at the start of the game.

If you're talking about the FMRTE (Real-Time Editor), well you're going to spend money there too since "donations" for its use are now mandatory.

That guy's face is heinous... Why the **** would the put him in the video, face for the radio right there, genuinely annoyed me.

On the game though... Looks like it's gonna be a bit of a slog to play it, looks really long winded, sorting through your training before every game, dunno if I'll get it this year.

I just have one training regime and keep it for say 6 months or so. My staff are always asking me to prepare differently for each match but I serious cba.

Can't wait for FM13 though, although I fear it'll be the reason for failure in regards to my A levels

Wont get it unless they increase match realism ie not missing 10 1 on 1s with RVP and then losing the game in the 80th minute

Just picked up a copy of the game today. First impressions are that it seems to be very different from FM12, in the sense that none of my tactics from FM12 (that were extremely good) work at all.

In FM12 I always managed to have AT LEAST 70% possession in a game, my team is set up to dominate from start to finish, yet in FM13 I'm unable to get over 55% possession and 80% passing accuracy, even against League 2 teams in friendlies.

Secondly, it seems no matter what I do, my defence always concede at least 2 goals per game. They get torn to shreds by even the poorest of teams.

Guess I'll just have to stick with it until I find a new tactic. Really frustrating though.

Oh, and that annoying thing from previous FM games where your striker would miss 80% of his 1v1's seems to be gone, pretty much every time someone has had a 1v1 for me, they've scored. :)

I didn't even complete a season in FM12 but f*ck it i'll get this in a couple of weeks time. I did a Serie A network game which was good fun but got piss*d off when I realised my LB was making way more passes than my CM's especially as my RB was suppose to be the attacking one.

Teams that interest me - Fiorentina, QPR, Porto, and a lower league team. Probably go for Inter if we do another network game.

Have you tried the classic mode? Is it playable?
Recent FM versions were just overcomplicated and tedious for me, but maybe the classic mode is the one for me?

Best manager in the World. First season, no signings in the summer, signed Fabregas back from Barcelona in January after they transfer listed him.

Won the league UNBEATEN, and won the FA cup. Knocked out of the CL by Valencia in the semis.

Screen cap your tactics/starting XI/squad Ferrari, I'm interested in seeing how you did that. Haven't bought the game yet, thinking about it though, need a new football game.

Well im playing 4-4-2 walcott and giroud upfront 7 wins 2 draws 1 lose in 10 games not bad in my opinion. i just buy a left back backup and a backup striker.

Picture

Thing about this game though that's different to FM12 is that you can't just play the exact same tactic/team in every game and expect it to work. You have to make little adjustments depending on who you're playing, especially in away games. My home record was perfect - P19 W19, but my away record was P19 W9 D10 which isn't the greatest.

It's strange because I found most of the big teams were much easier to play against away from home than the smaller teams. I beat Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs and drew 4-4 against United at OT... but found a lot of the smaller teams like Aston Villa, Reading etc very difficult to beat on their turf.

Anyway, so far this summer, I've picked up Mario Gotze (who isn't impossible to sign in this game like he was on FM12), Raheem Sterling and Jan Kirchhoff to replace Djourou but I'm really struggling to get rid of deadwood like Chamakh because whenever I accept a bid for him, he rejects that clubs contract offer :?

(P.S. Anyone wanting to sign Cesc Fabregas back like I did, there is a clause in his contract which entitles Arsenal to 50% of any fee Barca receive for him. So even though I had to offer £40m for him, I got half of that back so I only really paid £20m :D )

Nice tactics Ferrari, very similar to the invincibles actually.

I've made some decent progress with West Ham, finishing 7th for the 2nd season in a row.

Sadly lost Taarabt who had been an absolute monster for me to Man Utd because he had a release clause. Made a 12m profit though, so I could get in some replacements.

My current team:

2 Arsenal legends in there

And I found this gem who's been starting for me ever since I got him at 15 years old:

Bought this yesterday, played it for about 7 hours in total and I've just played my 2nd CL game. It's a bit weird, can't seem to find if/where I can make up my own training schedules and what not like I used to in the previous ones, signed 3 players, Demba Ba for £7.5m, Isco for £17.5m and M'Vila for £6m up front and £6m in installments, got M'Vila on deadline day like a pro after Rennes were pissing about rejecting my offers before.

Well,

On my fifth season now.

1st season won the carling cup...woot got rid of the no silverware monkey

missed out on CL oops

2nd sseason won the Euro cup

missed out on CL as UTD came 5th but won the CL which meant they qualified along with the top 3 teams - BUGGER

3rd season got sacked half way through for being 8th in the league (was still in Euro cup and FA CUP - bit premature if you ask me lol)

Got the job at West Ham who were sitting 19th in the table and I promptly got relegated!

4th Season saw me win the Championship and get promoted back to the prem.

Currently mid table and going "ok".

Arsenal are currently also mid table..............Still think I could have turned things around if they gave me more time :P

In my third season, here's my break down of the previous two seasons:

First season:
-Got to semi-final of the Champions League, lost out to Barcelona. 3-5 on aggregate to them :(
-Finished 6th in the league! I put this down to injuries. I suffered immensely, Ramsey, Wilshere, Arteta, Vermaelen and Walcott all missed an average of 3 months of the season. Was down to bare bones at times.
-Eliminated in the quarter final of the CoC to Everton at Goodison.
-Eliminated in the fifth round of the F.A Cup to City at the Eithad.

First season transfers, (ins and outs):
-Lorenzo Insigne, £8.75M (IN).
-Adrian Lopez, £15M (IN).
-Andrea Rannochia, £6.5M (IN, [January signing]).
-Davide Santon, £14.5M (IN).
-Yann M'Vila, £14.5M (IN).
-Andrea Poli, £7M (IN).
-Gervinho, £14.5M (OUT).
-Abou Diaby, £6M (OUT).
-Johan Djourou, £8M (OUT).
-Sebastian Squillaci, £850k (OUT).
-Marouane Chamakh, £7.5M, (OUT).

Overall, an awful season. But Hill-Wood still offered me a new contract which I basically pulled his arm off for. A shining light was Lorenzo Insigne, who scored a loads of goals and terrorised defenders, for a relatively cheap price too.

Second season:
-Eliminated in the F.A Cup semi-final to Villa at Villa Park. I never get much luck with draws :(. They won with two Bent goals in the last 8 minutes, I was livid.
-Knocked out of the CoC in the quarter finals to Charlton Athletic on penalties! :(
-WON THE PREMIER LEAGUE :D. This was largely down to the fact that I wasn't in any other competitions, so I was able to field a full strength team most weeks. Beat City to the title by 7 points. Brilliant.

Second season transfers (ins and outs):
-Jack Rodwell, £10M (IN).
-Joe Hart, £14.75M (IN).
-Gaston Ramirez, £14.75M (IN [January signing]).
-Fernando Llorente, free (IN).
-Lukas Podolski, £11M (OUT).
-Lukasz Fabianski, £4M (OUT).
-Adrian Lopez, £9M (OUT).
-Tomas Rosicky, Free (OUT).

Decent season tbf, felt for Adrian Lopez because he broke his foot and never returned to a good enough level. Flogged him to Sunderland (who seem to the rich) and he has struggled there too. Szczesny was very nearly sold because of the form of Joe Hart, but I convinced him to stay. I'll rotate the pair of them much more next season.

About to embark on my third season, I'm hoping to win the F.A Cup, retain the league, and maybe get to the semi-final of the Champions League. Fingers crossed!

Oh yeah, for those who are using Arsenal it's well worth noting that:

-Wilshere and Ramsey become absolute beasts. Seriously, they are almost a pair of world class players for me. I've tied them both down to long term deals.
-Szczesny turns into a world class goalkeeper. BUT, any more than three games without him in the side he comes knocking on your door. Such an impatient so and so
-Walcott becomes extremely effective up front. His finishing is only 13/20 but NO defence can live with him. Far too pacey.

Anybody aware if FM 2013 Handheld on an android tablet is worth paying £6.99 for?

It's a very, very barebone version of the PC version. It's incredibly simple to the point that even the attributes are simplified. There's no acceleration and pace, there's just pace ie.

That is a resounding no then! Thanks for the help mate.

Started a network game recently with 2 of my friends. Don't judge me but i picked City as all i care about is winning. The other lads picked Chelsea and United.

Pretty sure this game is made by Spurs fans. 19 games gone and i've a very respectable 44 points (W14 D2 L3. Spurs have a ridiculous 48 (W15 D3 L1). Their only loss was to Chelsea. It was their 9th game and it was their first goal to concede all season. They've only conceded 3 in 19 which is really really pi**ing me off, not only because its unrealistic but conceding the least amount of goals is usually my thing. My friend is obviously great at this game because he's only dropped the same amount of points as Spurs but he has only played 17 games.

Bought Fellaini and Lamela and loaned in Eduardo as emergency cover. Fellaini is a beast. Lescott and Kompany have been immense for me, only conceded 8 goals in the league. Got Bayern in the last 16, Chelsea in the LC semi's and yet to start the FA cup.

Spurs are everybody's darling it seems, overpowered in most games. When starting a new EPL season on FIFA they are always tipped to finish 2nd ahead of City, Chavs and us
