Walcot is ****, but it is fvcking annoying that when he plays superb as he did last nite people seem still dont give him credit or his deserved praise.
Do you suffer a theo blind spot? Or do just stuck in the hobbit of bad criticism of theo?

Sorry, but this in combination with Theo Walcott made me chuckle.
Sadly, I don't have a "RVP laughing at Krul" image at hand for that. Maybe someone will help me out.......

He has had a lot more terrible performances than he has good ones. Some may be won over by one top performance but for many it is going to take more than that to convince them and rightly so.

I agree with Jazz, he still has too many poor games however you should always give credit where it's due and he played really well last night and has been a lot better of late.
Well done Theo!

Was excellent and he did one turn late in the second half which was amazing! technically got two assists as well.

Real test for Theo now is putting an even better performance in the next game , tends to take his foot off the pedal when he is doing well .

I think the big thing for Theo is to score more goals and I see no reason why he shouldn't have 10+ at this stage.
His interview was cringeworthy again.......

Yeah what he says in interviews are more appropriate after he puts in 8-10 good performances together .
As Martin Tyler said he tends to pass the buck in front of goal .

Very good against Newcastle, his link up play was very good for a change. He was too involved in the build-up to get into goalscoring positions. He starts ahead of Gervinho right now but I don't think either should be starting for a team with serious ambitions. Podolski---RVP---Theo/Gervinho is still not good enough for me next season

It's not a matter of being won over, it's a matter of giving credit where credit is due. Theo was excellent last night. No one is claiming he's a messiah and become the one of the world's best wingers. It was just that he was tormentor in chief last night and without him I'm not sure we would have won the game.

the problem for theo is and always will be that he is clunky and will give he ball away under little or no pressure. Yes he has turned some nice assists in this season but he lacks technique and that will always be held against him.
That said he is starting to play more directly and getting in between fullback and centreback which is where he is most dangerous.
Keep it simple theo, get some consistency and confidence in front of goal.

One thing I do agree with Anzac about is we are not imo getting the best out of Theo so long as he's wide to much, he needs to be on the shoulder of the last defender and ready to pull the trigger then we'll see the best of him and that will give more space to RVP as he would not be the only central threat.

I never thought he was that great last night. His crossing was as good as I've ever seen, but he still made poor decisions, looked very predictable and lacked craft with the ball at his feet for the most part, but then he's not a winger, so... Also, I noticed early on he actually lost out in a foot race with their left sided player, Santon. Anyone else see that? He'd have been out of sight after 15 yards 3 years ago.

He started about 5 yards back on Santon before getting elbowed in the face.

no he didn't he knocked it past him right next to him and got owned all the way, he has definately lost some pace just look at how he used to break away when given 10-15 yards space in front.

Santon held him off, Theo tried to run outside him, but Santon made sure that didn't happen. Straight line race and Theo would eat Santon for breakfast. Obviously.

Ahh, right, I've only seen it the once. I thought they started pretty level from a first look though. Where can I see this again without downloading the game?

Clever full-backs can deal with pace. If they couldn't then it would be a pretty simple choice of putting your fastest player out wide. Walcott could still lose pace and be absolutely lightning, of all his faults I don't think his speed is one of them.

The crazy thing about Theo is that as **** as he has been at times this season he still has the 2nd most goals on the team and more assists than anyone other than Song. I still thought he was ******* excellent last night.

Theo will forever have bad days and good days, remember form is tempary, (lets all conveniently forget the rest of that phrase, n/a) he jasnt got it all, but if you look closely there is some improvement in his play, atleast his crossing. Its not jus kick it to the other side amymore, he puts it chanels.
He even takes part in build now, instead of just giving sagna HIS responsibility, or the basic pass and speed off for the return.
All that said, he isnt in my top 5 arsenal players, but it must be said. Well done theo, get the fvck in!!

Rosicky and Sagna have greatly helped his play. I think we need to realize that Theo will play well when others around him play well - he's not a Ronaldo type winger who'll create on his own.

Exactly.
Sagna lets him play 10 yards further up the pitch and 10 yards narrower, while Rosicky hits passes to him that don't force him to break stride.
He looked lost and isolated with Koscielny/Jenkinson behind him, while Ramsey's passing isn't good enough to routinely hit his runs. Further, Arteta generally plays the ball to feet as he passes from a deep position most often while we're in possession.
Think Theo is bound to have a great run in

He's netted 6 times and produced 8 assists, if he can get the two of those to total 20 I'll be impressed by his return.
