I've just seen the GK's kit and it looks even worse. Poor Szczesny.

With long sleeves, it looks even more hideous.

The Sun has already mentioned it in the article I posted earlier.

But to be fair they also mentioned it's the colours for Holland and Britain too.

Absolute shambles of a kit. Since the move to the Emirates I've only really liked the 06-08 kit and the one we're currently wearing. Modern, clean kits which are instantly recognizable as something Arsenal would wear.

Dokaka (Forum Member) on May 7th, 2012, 12:38 pm

I'm sorry but what a terrible kit. Why add that **** to the sleeves?

It looks like some kid tried to make his own Man Utd shirt but failed miserably.

I'd actually forgotten about us having blue on our home kit before.

I know I am in the minority, but I actually like the kit. Not loving the keepers jersey though.

Couldnt sit back and let this go, sent a "strongly worded email" to the clubs feedback email (feedback@arsenal.co.uk ). Wont do any good I know, but I have a voice and Im choosing to use it.

I wish I had looked at it before I had my lunch

Ah well there's worse kits out there, i just won't buy it. I still haven't got this seasons yet so i might just get that on the cheap once the season ends. Is this kit only for one year or two?

Is this our kit for the next two years, or just this next season?

Brilliant video, not so sure about the kit however.

When I seen the early leaked pics of it I was dead against it, hoping for something else. Seeing it on the players has slightly changed my opnion of it. I'll wait untill I see a few games of the team wearing it before making a final judgement call. And anyway...

**** kit = Great season... Id be happy with that. Hell, id buy four of them if that was the case

every release about it just says 2012-2013 kit, so I'm guessing we're back to 1 year cycles. A shame really, the last multi-season kit was that awful charlton-esque deal that barely had white sleeves.

This one is slowly growing on me. I'm probably not going to preorder, and probably won't buy it online...but if i make it to a few matches (as planned) then I'll probably wind up buying one at the stadium.

I'm fairly certain that the whole blue/black/grey ordeal will be pretty clearly blue when you see them in person.

I love the new logo (The cannon with the blue circle).

Kind of looks like the London Underground logo? Correlation with the Olympics? Probably not.

love the logo as well but lets swap the blue for gold or for red and make the cannon gold, then were talking.

A goalie is supposed to look even bigger in his kit. Camouflage has the opposite effect.

here's the kit mentioned: http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Arsenal ... 935_ae.gif

Now you're just overthinking it. We've seen green kits before and not just us. Also black ones and they're supposed to be slimming ...

Plus, those neon lime green lower sleeves will dazzle and daze the opposition as soon as Sneezy starts waving them.
User avatar

clockwork orange (Elite Member) on May 7th, 2012, 9:24 pm

Maybe. Thought they had done some study which proved red kits won more. Might be small percentages but that's what it's about. Agree with what you say on black. In black's case, it could be the classyness makes up for the size-effect.

Those neon sleeves certainly have penalty stopping potential.

AnthonyG (Administrator) on May 7th, 2012, 9:34 pm

I think I read a similar study based on Australia's propensity for yellow. We could always dress Sneezy up in a working cobra suit. Also, we should ban Cech's headgear as he actually does make himself bigger!

Cruisio (Forum Member) on May 7th, 2012, 9:52 pm

So....they are pretty much asking us to shell out £50+ for what is essentially our current kit plus two unnecessary blue stripes? ....Riiiiight

Whoever is in our marketing department needs a proper slap

Not sure if this has been posted yet:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/video-arsenal-stars---theo-822270

The blue really looks a lot brighter on Theo, which is an improvement, since it looked quite dark on other pictures. Still not a big fan, though, of this kit.

Also, make sure to watch the video in the ^link^. Sczcesny..
