The Jury wrote:"It's not black, Jury, it's blue", would have sufficed....and avoided all the ensuing horseshit.
Yes, I suppose you are right (assuming, that is, I left out the technically correct 'obsidian'). But I do like horseshit. It's considered good luck to step in.

Look at Wilshere sporting it with what look to be black shorts and purples socks with red hoops. Its on some woolworths kid section/laser tag vibe.

I hate it, and the third kit too if sources are to be believed. They've just taken united's kit from last season and made the lines thinner.
The home is class however.

@DavidGubala: #Adidas to become the new kit supplier of #Arsenal Football Club as early as 2013/14. Partnership agreement is currently in the making.
Great news if true. Maybe the first of the improved sponsorship deals we hear so much about.

The guy who Tweeted that works for Adidas apparently. We should be looking at £25m or thereabouts. Hopefully we can find a similar early agreement with new shirt sponsors

Doesn't our Nike deal run until '14? Did we but out of the final year?

I don't care how much get from them as long as we get rid of Nike and their horrible kits.

So, the away kit seems to be pretty certain now... looking at the pictures of the first training day on which the players are wearing some garbage jackets.
Horrible kit.

I must be alone in thinking Nike have actually done some great kits for us.
Some of the aways have been a bit dodgy but the only home kit I think anyone has had a problem with in the last few years was the 08-10 variant. All the others (and having got my own copy - I absolutely love this year's) have been beauties imo. Perhaps my red tinted specs are clouding my judgement a tiny bit but I'd struggle to find another club with kits as nice as ours have been over the last few years.
The aways are a different story, but again - particularly with the yellow kits (and that dreamy golden one) there have been far more hits than misses.
Of course I'd still like to see our kits made by the highest bidder but if Adidas start kitting us out in those skintight atrocities chelsea have to wear each year this years kit may be my last for a while.

Adidas is a visually more aesthetic brand. Nike have gone down the lane of sport in recent years whereas Adidas are making their money in fashion now.
I think Adidas make nicer looking kits than Nike.

Three stripes down the sleeves will look weird on an Arsenal kit, I quite like the kits Nike have done.

Yeah, maybe after all this time or if one hasn't seen them before/can't really remember them (1994 we got Nike?) they might seem a little weird, but we've had stripes with Adidas before, e.g. in '92:
(Guess whether one likes it or not is personal, but I like it.)

if you look at our home kits with nike, there's really only the 08-10 shirt that isn't good. The rest look great.
The away kits started to become a little dodgy later on, but were pretty solid through the early 2000s.
But that's mostly a case of people just wanting a yellow kit instead of the blue ones and the odd white one here and there. Fun fact o' the day...for our first 55 years, we wore white and occasionally blue. In fact, the "traditional" yellow didn't even come around until the 70s.
Adidas would be a nice mix, but i just don't find their kits that interesting. Right from the start I can guarantee that we will never have the clean white sleeves that everyone always wants simply because adidas must put those stupid stripes down them. Being that solid white sleeves are a major part of out kit, there's a problem to begin with.

We'll just have to wait and see i spose, i have faith though. They can make some really nice kits sometimes they just tend to fall into the trap of a teams kits looking very similar every year. Personally my favourite kit of the last year or two is Denmarks.
http://www.adidas.co.uk/Men's-Denmark-H ... GB,pd.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Looked like a proper smart kit when they all lined up in it at the Euros. Love the collar too

Wonder when it'd come in too, isn't the new kit running for two years? So it's going to be two years at least, at that point i thought they'd just wait until 2014 when the Nike deal runs out.
Also something makes me feel this could be where Gazidis has been over the last few weeks. I think he'd thrashing out some commercial deals.

New away kit confirmed:

I think I'm 60-40 on it right now, but I think this is a kit that will grow on me. Find it funny though that they used our three youngest looking players on the team. Looks like a U17 side.

And any hope I had of actually enjoying the away kit on the field is left in the dust...
Especially funny considering Szczesny spoke about how much he hated the pink keeper kit from two years ago.

That goalkeepers kit is an abomination. Pink and purple? Reminds me of Vimto or ribena
