This is actually quite depressing. We don't seem to operate in the transfer market with the same ruthless efficiency as Man U

Has a figure been quoted? I have to confess i am totally envious of Man Utd now, i don't think we are going to make any signings as remotely exciting as Anderson

that really does p*ss me off
if wenger had the balls to actually make signings like that we probably would be at least ahead of liverpool.
i mean its only logic, we have came fourth for the last two seasons and who do we sign???? wait for the drum role......
dun dun dun!!!
FABIANKSI
who?
i mean Benitez makes one or two intelligent and good signings and get to the champions league final!!!
i need to calm down

Agree mate, I am at that point now where I am starting to think about hibernating till September.
I cant believe that banner flashing up on SkySports News 'Manchester United agree to sign Anderson and Nani'. I cant f*cking believe it. They are two of the hottest properties in World football. Holy F*uck, I am gutted.

If we only make signings of Baptista like proportions this close season then maybe there is some truth to the belief that we are a club on the slide. I respect Mr Wenger's prudence in the transfer market as we have benefitted in the past but if there was ever a time to spend, it is now. United have signed these two guys plus Hargreaves for what i'd guess to be around £40m. That is more than we've spent in three years.

Are people already complaining about Arsenal's lack of activity in the transfer market?
Give them a chance. The season only just finished!
Lets review the situation at the end of the summer.

We need a deadly proven striker in the EPL. I would love to have Maccarthy or Bent on the team challenging Van P, Henry, and Ade. Of course with the African Nations cup coming up it would be wise to move in for a reliable striker. What ever happened to the Klose rumors??? did they die down???

i think we are all kidding ourselves....
even if we signed ribery...i wouldn`t be happy. united have pure quality..not just for now but in the long run.
we need to buy these young first team starters... like babel.. type.
but nani and anderson...dam.. im really depressed, honestly i think these are the best two buys in the last 4 years for any team in england.
bar the heskey to liverpool

Depressing news. If they sign Nani as well I will need fcking prozac. Rooney, Ronaldo, Anderson, Nani, Rossi, Pique... and I thought we were the team for the future.
I've got a bad feeling Sir Alex is building a very special team. And Chelski is soon gonna get out of their fake notbigspendersanymore-phase. And Rafa is demanding crazy money to strenthen his team. So Wenger better have a good plan for how we are gonna become the best team in England again. I just don't think we can handle a passive summer, with signing some unknown 16 year old players. We need to bring in 2-3 quality players this summer, simple as that.
