If he is Ok with playing second/third fiddle, I dont see why we should get rid of him.
Good player for cups or when we are leading by 3 goals to put on.

Yeah, I mean we already paid for his services, so I am guessing from a financial point of view he is not a burden on the club.
We have no pressing need for transfer funds, so why kick out a player?
Surely it is better to keep a player who can step in in case of injury disaster, than not having one?

I rather have a young prospect getting cup games and minutes when we are up by 3 goals.

Sure, but do we have a young left forward?
Ryo should be going on-loan as he needs to play regularly (not just a few games in cups) to develop.
Apart from him, who do we have on left wing (not counting first teamers and first team bench options)?

zis. do zis to all young ones who have talent and the attitude to succeed and get rid of the rest. its neither good for us or for the players.

I posted this in the Squad Analysis thread already, but Park will probably leave.
Park is not AWOL anymore. He held a press conference with the Olympic team coach in Korea two weeks ago. He's in Japan right now training for the Olympics. The main reason he'd even go to that tournament is to get his value up; so, then he can leave and AFC will get their money back.

I'm hearing that Podolski will get uniform Number 9. This does seem to suggest that Park is finished here. You rarely see a player get bumped to a higher number. (Bendtner was an exception, but in his case it was a request.)
Frankly, I see no reason to sell him. He's played 7 minutes in the Premier League, 68 in the Champions League, and 216 minutes in the League Cup. That's 292 minutes, not counting injury time. Or 3 1/4 games' worth. How do we know he's not good enough for Arsenal?
The massive physical differences aside, he's starting to remind me of Yinka Dare, the Nigerian center who starred in U.S. college basketball before being drafted by the New Jersey Nets in 1994. He was signed for 6 years, $9 million guaranteed.
He came into his first game, played 3 minutes, and tore up his knee, and was out for the season. He become known as "The Three-Minute Egg." There were 2 new expansion teams coming in for the next season, and the Nets left him unprotected. He wasn't taken. When TWO expansion teams pass on you, that's a sign that you're not considered major league material. (Especially when one turned in one of the worst single-season performances in league history.) That season, he set a record: 58 games, ZERO assists. (And you thought Stewart Downing was bad.) He was finally traded in 1998, and died of a heart attack at age 31.
One of his teammates said, "He was a quiet guy, didn't talk that much. He worked hard - he didn't really play much, but he was a fun guy to be around." Apparently, he just wasn't NBA material: 2.1 points per game, and 4 assists in 110 appearances (9.1 minutes per appearance).
The difference -- aside from hoping he lives a lot longer -- is that Park hasn't yet had a chance to prove himself to be an "egg." Or even a "ham-and-egger," which is a hockey term meaning a very ordinary player.

We should create our own brand. Not Arsenal, but like a spin off..
Imagine Wilshere, Ramsey, and Giroud in underwear adverts and stuff. I think it could really take off.
Park will own the asian market ( with Kagawa

I was pretty excited when we signed Park. (Not just cause he's a sexy piece of ass)
Watched one of his international games, he grabbed a hattrick. So Youtube'd him a bit more, then a few more international games. For what? I feel bad for the guy because he's an ok player. He isn't 'spectacular' nor is he awful. Hope he goes to a midtable club like everton.

At the same time, if we want to win things we dont need passengers at any place within the team. We all know that Arsène will play you if he believes you're good enough, hell he'll even continue playing you when you are totally out of form (Ramsey at the end of the season), but he (Arsène) saw him everyday in training and he (Park) didnt get a look. I mean Arsène elected to loan back a 34 year old Henry to bolster our attack for a period...I just dont see the point of keeping a player and throwing away a spot on the 25 member roster.
If we are to be serious about winning/challenging Arsène and co need to be a bit more ruthless and clear deadwood and look to improve upon them MUCH faster.

Wonder who will take him from us........ unlike Arshavin, Bendtner, Vela, Chamakh... haven't heard any interest for Park at all.
Anyway, we'll need his number 9 jersey for Olivier Giroud!
Just give him to any other EPL clubs, I wonder if they even want him though.... K league or other countries league should take him.
3M, 2M, 1M or free... at least not on payroll.

Hopefully Park does well in the Olympics. He has been treated like sh!t by Wenger and was never given a chance. im not having the nonsense that he properly didnt do well in training. Players usually get a chance when they move to new club atleast few games, not every player who plays week in week out are good trainers anyway. So the idea that players get picked on training performance is laughable really

Hmm..he cannot be that bad, infact his finish against Bolton goes some extent to prove that.
No idea what the issue could be, I cannot imagine him being lazy as Ive heard he is a hard worker.
He certainly seems to offer more in terms of movement and finishing than Chamakh (yet Wenger favoured the latter still).
Surely Wenger cannot be that bitter about the whole military thing, understandable it is annoying but to totally refuse the player time on the pitch on that basis would be pretty tight.
Anyway if he is not sold I hope we can atleast see if he was worth the money or not.

I think chamakh was just favoured so that in the last 10 minutes of the match, he can be put on and our wingers, full backs just cross the ball in hoping he would head the ball........which never happened. Park is more similar to RVP's playing style than chamakh so chamakh was just used more to give a different route of attack.
You probably won't see him much this year with RVP (probably will stay) and Giroud up top and Podolski can also play up front hence Park will always be on the bench or not even make the bench.
If he wants more playing time, he must leave

I think Park not playing was a result of a contract dispute. His reps said in back in March that contract issues had only "recently" been resolved. Considering Park's goal against Bolton + Chamakh's poor form + RvP's injury record + Monaco's financial problems, Monaco probably tried to squeeze Arsenal for as much as they could by tacking on appearance fees.
Park even alluded to contract issues at last month's press conference.

He's simply not good enough. He was one of Wenger's panic buys after everything he's stood for as a man and as a football manager since 2005 was destroyed by Manchester United.
And of course training performances are considered when picking players. Haven't you ever been on a team?
