Just watched that penalty from a few different angles like 10 times. Johnson makes no contact with his leg, he only pushes valenica what looks like very lightly, valenica was definately looking to go down there and went down very easily.
The people in the norwegian studio thought suarez should have had a penalty as well. From looking at the replays he gets to the ball first, then evans kicks his foot. Of course Suarez makes the most of it though and hasa reputation for diving so that one was always going to be a tough call.

The Suarez one at the end?? I think the ref decided to play advantage there, god know for what reason. Ref had a horrible game.

How did Fernando Suso perform? I've been very impressed with him at youth level.

Just seen all the replays. Johnson clips Valencia so definite pen but the one that looked like a Suarez dive was a definite pen too.

It's so easy to say that, though. You're basically saying that you must be considerably better than them to get anything - fair? Nope.
RvP knows that exact performance from the team in an Arsenal team and he won't be going home with 3 points. That's why he left.
It is easier said than done true , but Glen Johnson could have stayed on his feet in that situation and it would have probably just been a corner kick , then again it's hindsight . Enjoyable game all the same .

Pool fans must be feeling disgusted at the way the game has turned out today.
As if they didn't hate the Manc enough, now this happens..
Anyway, on the The Etihad now for some real football..

Too true!
A great game spoiled by two harsh refereeing decisions. As usual UTD get the rub of the green. Liverpool unlucky here but they played well but not sure how much of a consolation that is. They do need some goal scorers in that team though.
Regarding the two harsh decisions, Shelvey gave Halsey the opportunity to award a red card and for the 2nd goal they gave the ball away needlessly in
midfield. Did Johnson clip Valencia-I think you have to ask yourself would that be a foul anywhere else on the pitch. Not IMO.
Furthermore, if Shelvey was sent off, why wasn't the greedy badger for his lunge late on in the game?
Yet another game decided on dodgy refereeing decisions. When the governing body of football will finally get their head out of the sand and allow video replay is a day that is long overdue. It's ridiculous that bad calls are still deciding such important games in the 21st century.

He has looked good this season but had a poor game today IMO. He looked very tentative in his decision making and didn't show any of his electric pace and skills today. I think he was overawed by the occasion.

Neither were penalties, my soon to be spectacled friend. Johnson clearly dives over Valencia before attempting to challenge him. He does make slight contact, but Valencia is already on his way down when he touches him. Even the majority on Redcafe admit it wasn't a penalty...

Looked good I thought. Very comfortable on the ball and his passing was accurate.
Here's a GIF of the Shelvey/Evans tackle.

Clearly two footed and reckless by Evans. Shelvey's tackle was also red worthy but how can Evans stay on the pitch too?

So Utd got another penalty and 3 points? Please tell me something new. The refs are clearly in favor of Utd and it's been seen match in, match out. FA doesn't do anything because they don't want one of their biggest attraction being called a cheat. Yes, they are cheaters. They have been getting away with so many points, if you combine them, they will be enough to win them another league title! Somethings got to change, but I donno what it is.
And that **** gives them another three points. He really has it in him to get wins.

Thought he looked menacing today, but a little "green". Jenkinson handled him better than ManUre today imo.

Dokaka wrote:The red card wasn't harsh, but Evans should've been sent off as well. He literally did exactly the same thing, but with studs showing as well.
Exactly. Both players should have been sent off. Different rules for Manchester United and other clubs, as we all could see when the referee somehow failed to send off Judas for another reckless studs up tackle. And then we have the disgraceful dive by Valencia.
What did yousif-arsenal say - 3 penalties to United in their last 5 PL matches? Two of them were blatant dives. United is such disgraceful team.
The United referee bias is disgusting because it is so extremely obvious. I could take losing the title to Chelsea or Manchester City despite their financial advantage as long as they perform better than us on the field, but I can not stand United winning matches and titles because the referees constantly award their cheating.
Appropriate video technology that can aid the referees will never be integrated in European football as long as associations like FA and Uefa have chosen a cash cow that they let the referees bail out time after time. If we were to have video technology, it would not be possible for FA to give United this special treatment.

Apparently, the chants were in retaliation to two Liverpool fans running at the Man Utd end of the pitch doing the aeroplane thing after the final whistle.
Still, just as disgusting and what a shame one set of the fans found it impossible to stay classy.
Man Utd fans were also chanting "Where's your famous Munich song" during the game....
Utter filth, all of them.

The liverpool problem is they dont score from their chances they had alot of chances at first half but they failed to score. and again its was a mistake to loan out carroll in my opinion he could be useful.

wtf did the **** expect?? That FA don't do anything against him because he's playing for England?
