It has come to my attention that, ever since the lay-out of the forum was altered, many are unaware of the location of the new private messages (or 'PMs') indicator.
To check whether or not you have a new private message, you simply need to do the following:
- 1. Go to the 'Forum' drop-down menu near the top of the page, located in the red banner
- 2. Once there, note the first entry, which by default reads '0 new messages' - this is your private messages indicator
- 3. Click on this entry to go to your message inbox, located within the User Control Panel
- 4. Once there, you can read your private messages, should you have any, and/or compose private messages to be sent to others
Since our Moderators (and Administrators) often prefer to communicate with members via private messages, we would appreciate it if you could check your inbox from time to time. Note also that it is often the case that you will receive an email notifying you that you have received a private message, at which point you can follow the link in the email directly to your inbox.
