Let's still all laugh at Tottenham

:D:D:D

4-2 against Burnley was Epic. When we thought they couldn't outdo us they go ahead and lose 4-2 after being 0-2 up. That takes some doing and we beat them by 5 points which is a lot better than 2 which was looking likely.

At this point, they could possibly draw Sevilla, Sampdoria, Bremen, Lyon/Auxerre, Celtic, Ajax(?), etc. Most of those teams would absolutely destroy them. Not sure about Celtic though, since they are even bigger bottlers than the spuds.

Most of those teams would absolutely destroy them? Don't be ridiculous.

They will get to the group stages and then the whole thing will come undone because their squad isn't big enough and it takes time to adjust to champions league football.

They will definitely get to the group stages. Half of those team ain't their match at all.

If Spurs were significantly better than those teams they would coast the Europa. I think the liquidators going to be made look even stupider in Europe.

Sevilla, Samp, Lyon could all beat them.. Celtic & Ajax, probably not.. Spuds have no frame of reference for these kinds of games, so who knows how they will react

You do realise their current squad is significantly better than the one who competed in the Europa right?

They didnt get 4th place easily...

Agree with that. I can see them qualifying but it'll affect their league performances. Their squad has been overrated ever since they clinched 4th.

I'd say their squad has been overrated ever since April 1961.

I'm not kidding: I once saw footage of the '61 FA Cup Final -- and was I surprised to see it in color, but they still "won the League in black-and-white." Anyway, Frank McLintock still complains that the '71 Arsenal Double-winning side doesn't get the respect, and even the love, that the '61 Spurs get. And he's right: Looking at footage of each, I'd say the '71 Gunners would have shredded them. I can hear John Radford and Charlie George licking their lips already.

“Huddlestone, 23, could end up being the surprise package and, at 6ft 3in and more than 13 stone, he is a useful man to have around when a hole needs plugging” - Matt Dickinson

sounds hilarious for non-english gooners here.

Experts reveal a large dark cloud seen over London is not volcanic ash but in fact the result of thousands of Spurs fans blowing the dust off of their passports.

Or on the other hand, experts reveal the dark cloud seen over London is not volcanic ash but in fact the result of Arsène Wenger opening the club's trophy cabinet... ;)

Okay, let's review. Since the 1990-91 season:

Arsenal: 1993 FA Cup, 1993 League Cup, 1994 European Cup Winners' Cup, 1998 Premier League, 1998 FA Cup (that's a Double), 2002 Premier League, 2002 FA Cup (that's a Double), 2003 FA Cup, 2004 Premier League, 2005 FA Cup.

Tottenham: 1999 League Cup, 2008 League Cup.

Experts reveal the dark cloud seen over London is not volcanic ash but in fact the result of me giving Spurs fans dust to eat.

lol mate I know full well what our trophy record is etc, I was just playing devil's advocate with a text I got from a mate which I thought was quite funny ;)

And anyway, history doesn't count for much. We've got the history, great, what about today? What about tomorrow? That's what I'm interested in...
