Sounds like the latest is that they aren't selling the club, and that they are going to pay the debt. But they need money to do it and Cazorla's transfer is going to help with that. Sounds like they are going to sell some other players as well. Heard Rondon to Villareal speculated.

But this is all based on stuff from the Lobby so who knows. Mostly off of that Leyla Hamed twitter.

Too similar to the Mata saga last year for me to be sure of what will happen.

A small, Spainish, technical player who is very highly rated and wants to come to us - then in comes billionaire owner bid to change his mind. Although Chelsea surely dont need him now, City have Nasri, Silva, Yaya ect and United just got Kagawa. Hmm... 'Crosses fingers'

Let's hope it's our turn this time around. WE deserve a little luck this season, for a change.

The difference between Mata and Cazorla is that no top club current need Cazorla.

Chelsea got their targets, City doesn't need him, Man Utd got Kagawa, Liverpool and Tottenham aren't on your level.

Outside of England, the only ones who need him can't afford him I reckon.

This transfer just makes sense in every possible way. I'm sure this won't be another "Mata", but rather another "Podolski".

Wasn't worried the slightest, even when Chelsea rumour broke out.

as usual, won't throw full confidence into this one until it's on arsenal.com or I see a picture of him training with us.

either way...been a very interesting saga for this one. Seems I wake up each day and read "cazorla transfer imminent!"

My biggest concern is that he'll become our new club record signing,
and AW will either play him from the flank OR as DLP (in rotation with Arteta), so as to give Rambo & Diaby opportunities as AMC until Wilshere recovers.

I reckon we will get him by page 50 of this thread

Thats bloody good going by our standards

Glovegun (Trusted Member) on August 1st, 2012, 8:10 am

Huge signing if it does happen. Probably our biggest since Arshavin, and Campbell before that. A big name player who can come in and impact the side straight away.

And exactly how should this convince me that this is going to happen. "Malaga may accept the offer...". I won't believe it until I see it on arsenal.com

then dont believe it
Arsenal.com won't confirm it until he has a medical, has a photoshoot and signs the contract which will take at least at least 2-3 days more

If we get him at £18mil when he has a buy out clause of £35Mil or 35mil Euro's whichever that's still a bit of a coup either way.

I just hope for everyones frayed nerves that this deal is sealed and signed by end of the day ..... I'm exhausted!

If this one goes through this'll be our best transfer window in recent memory for me.

You guys think Usmanov's letter had anything to do with it?

certainly not. Wenger already tried to buy this kind of quality last season and he was majorly pissed when whoever was in charge messed up the Mata case. The general approach was to wait until a player leaves before buying a replacement but that caused us major problems.

This year things are going our way it seems and everyone learned their lessons from last seasons mistakes.

I could be wrong but I believe every player in Spain has a mandatory release clause and transfer fees rarely reach this amount because its set prohibitively high so I doubt we were ever going to pay that amount or that Malaga really expected us to. Still I agree it will a coup for us 18 mil is a very decent price for a player of this quality.

What a knob, look at the headline then he mentions it in one half of a sentence then goes on to talk about Wenger moaning about super clubs for the rest of the article like signing Cazorla isn't the big news.
This is the sort of crap article you have to be wary of.

yesterday sid lowe say alot of things

Sid Lowe ‏@sidlowe
Here's a phrase I don't understand: "Tmrw Malaga will accept Arsenal's offer". Doesn't that effectively mean they already have?

Sid Lowe ‏@sidlowe
If/when this deal done I'd love to know how Arsenal pay. Malaga could do with cash up front. Not really Arsenal's (or anyone's) way.

Sid Lowe ‏@sidlowe
Some final points. It's not Cazorla or Sahin. Arsenal want both. They're confident on both too. Cazorla agreed terms w/ Arsenal already. (1)

Sid Lowe ‏@sidlowe
Malag looking for solutions, got stay of execution but situation still urgent. Cazorla sale best way out. Still major confusion, though (2)

Sid Lowe ‏@sidlowe
And of course in all this, Cazorla is trying to push deal through. And given situation there are ways of doing that.

Sid Lowe ‏@sidlowe
And, no, until it's confirmed, you can never be 100% sure. (Actually, not true: occasionally deals are done and sat on). Because s**t (1/2)

Sid Lowe ‏@sidlowe
(2/2) happens. But, yes, I expect it to happen.

@javimartinl: Cazorla will be a player of @arsenal, the sale will be closed concerning 25 million Euros. The following one in going out, Rondon.

I think, done deal.

I hope so, he will be a huge signing, finally we will have replaced Cesc.

If the price of EUR 25 M is correct, I think that is the max we will get for RVP. With other players still to go out, we could still see another signing or maybe Sahin loan. I would be very happy with our summer if this all happens.
