Mateo Kovačić

Sime Vrsaljko went to being really average fast to everyone's amazement.
Links with us and other big clubs affected him and he showed low mental strength.
He is mainly full back that can play both sides, but is more ofter RB.
He seems uninterested very often, but so did for example Mandzukic.
When big clubs come calling and your club doesn't let you leave, playing in front of 5000 people in a big CL game and much less in domestic league can get to you.
Nobody knows what will happen to him, but his price surely dropped drastically.

Oh that's a shame.
When rags start linking you to one of European elites, so many talents go to waste their potential, by thinking too big of themselves.

I guess he is a cheap equivalent of Hleb.

According to a local newspaper, Arsenal will ofer Dinamo Zagreb 18 million euros for Mateo Kovačić:

http://www.24sata.hr/nogomet/wenger-ce- ... ica-284012

Translated it says:

Arsenal have people that track the players on and off the court. Yes its true. I remember drinking a juice near the stadium once, I noticed a guy that I then met once I came to Arsenal" said Eduardo Da Silva.

Arsenal scouts monitored Eduardo da Silva for two years and have been monitoring Kovačić for 6 months now. After showing their reports to the boss, he then sends people close to him, and the final verdict is brought to him by Tony Bennet man that he trust the most. Bobby was at the derby (Dinamo Zagreb vs Hajduk Split), closed his notebook and said: "The kid's great!"

At the same time with the scouts, players are monitored by Wenger. "When you talk to him, he not only listen, he has alot to tell you himself." Eduardo described, talking about how he was impressed with how much Wenger knew about him. And he knew absolutely everything, from the level of his tehnique to his lifestyle.

Impressed with Kovačić's resume, Wenger prepared an offer that will land in maksimir(name of the stadium) in january. For one of the most talented players in Europe he will ofer 18 million euros!

Like eduardo Kovačić was monitored off the turf, but are yet to find a single flaw. he doesnt drink he doesnt smoke and he doesnt stay out late.

S*** newspaper, s*** article, but a great great player. I was at the same game "Tony" went to and he has it all in his locker. Really hope its true, but somehow I doubt it...

If Wenger wants an attacking midfielder who is still very young then Kovacic fits the bill.
He does sound like a Wenger sort of signing but is quite expensive and will be a long term project.

Dinamo Zagreb have produced a lot of very good players and several have played in this country, so I can see this as a possibility.

What are your thoughts on this? Always had massive wraps on him but do you think he will live up to expectations?

He is surely already mature enough to make it, even though he is only 18.
A lot depends on Inter, how will they nurture his talent.
Zvonimir Boban said that Kovacic definitely has talent and already has ability to make bigger career than himself.

Wow, 11M €...

Well if anythyng, that **** of a human they have as director at Dinamo (Mamić) can sure sell his players above the price.

Because of Mamić, there was no people on the stand for them in the Champions league.40k stadium and 5k in attendance. Everybody hates this mafioso. They even had a lottery, everyone who buys a ticket has a chance to win something over 10k euros. And still no one came haha.
