Arshavin looks another player at euro but i think we should sell him as zenit offer us 8m to buy him and i think we should accept this good offer.

dempsey.. nothing against him, a fine player who's done very well for himself. but if AW buys him he'll say we have 'ze numbers and wilshere is like a new signing... which means we'll never replace the magic we lost up front.

I never watch Afellay's full games. However, a 10-minute Sherlock investigation on youtube made me reach the following conclusion.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain >>> Afellay

Kalou
Remy
Moses
Sturridge
Any other underwhelming attacker we've been linked to this summer.

Don't mind Sturridge myself, frustrating player but would do as much as Walcott if we swapped IMO. Actually I think he outscored him last season from RWF. And Di Matteo did push him out to a fringe role when he came in.
User avatar

jones (Forum Member) on July 26th, 2012, 6:18 pm

Sturridge is ridiculously overrated, Walcott's far better than him and I don't even rate him that high as others. Doesn't do anything at all on the pitch besides scoring, and he's too wasteful in front of goal to have him in your side for that only.

Just checked the stats, and Walcott has four assists less this season than Sturridge does in his whole career.
User avatar

fabo (Forum Member) on July 26th, 2012, 6:37 pm

Nah, would rate them at a similar level. Can't see anything to suggest Walcott is far better anyway.

jones (Forum Member) on July 26th, 2012, 6:46 pm

More clinical in front of goal, better defensively (not hard since Sturridge does very little to **** all in his own half) and he plays like an actual winger, (even though he always states he sees himself as a striker) whereas Sturridge plays like Mario Gomez on the wing, no eyes for anyone else.
