Can confirm validity of L'Equipe Mertesacker story. Not done yet but should be by end of the day.

Dream on son, there is zero chance of that happening now. We're stuck with Mert and Juju at least for another two years. Don't know why I even bothered getting excited over Cahill after our initial “derisory” offer. This is Wenger's Arsenal ffs.

This would suit Koscielnys game even more and make Mertesacker a sensible signing. Lets hope so.

Disciplined CB with good concentration who can read the game. He is good a timing his tackles not playing offside traps and chasing strikers. The hgih line left him 1 on 1 all to often even though he is good in 1 on 1 situations.
