Arsenal have expressed an interest in FC Twente striker Bryan Ruiz.
The Costa Rica international revealed at the weekend that intermediaries acting on behalf of Tottenham had sounded out his agent about a move to White Hart Lane.

However, Arsenal, who are in negotiations to sign Ruiz's 19-year-old international teammate Joel Campbell, are also understood to have asked to be kept informed of developments.

The 25-year-old Ruiz has a buy-out clause of £13.75m and can play right across the front line.

He's the perfect age, has CL and international experience, and a completely affordable buy-out clause at 13.75m.

I really like Ruiz. I've seen him play a lot for Costa Rica in the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers and Gold Cup. He has tremendous potential.

very good player much better then zarate, he can play in wings and behind the strikers.

And he's BIG. He can throw himself about, and is an absolute handful on the ground or in the air.

Let's be having him then. Get some proper depth in our squad. Buy, buy, buy!

Not bad IMO

I would LOVE to have him here, and what's best is that his versatility allows him to play on either wing, second striker or up top when Robin is out. Him playing and the interchange in our front 3 would wreak havoc for defenses.

yeah it was floating around for a while but has since died down and fizzled out. I thought there were new links or something...

I hope it's died down because we're actually in for him. I can't say enough how much I'd want him here if Bendtner is on the outs.

Now that Wenger admitted we are looking to sign a striker, I hope even more this link is true.

Only seen him twice and he looked quite clumsy to me. Probably OK if we want to displace Chamakh but if we are adding a wide forward, I think we really need this signing to be the nuts.

Theo/Gervinho/Arshavin + kids is not nearly good enough for the wide spots, and will be exposed over the season in my view.
