Bojinov
play against hardest defense ever (scudetto)
in a moderate team
and he's the forth top goalscorer after Adriano(14 goals) Montella(14 goals) Sheva(12 goals) and him (10 goals)

I have never seen Bojinov play but i can tell you this kid Kalou is gifted, His dribbling skills are just amazing. he plays almost like his older brother Bonaventure, but with more composure in front of goals. he has this way of skipping past defenders as if they are not even there, it's just mesmerizing. They call both him and his brother the magicians, go figure. the only problem he may have is on the physical level, as he isn't very tall or muscular. He may find it hard in the premiership.

I have watched both Bojinov and kalou....both gifted in their own right, but Fernando Torres is better than both.

sorry i meant Kalon. Chelsea and Abramovich are taking the piss now, apparently Abramovich is part of some London based group which has signed MAschareno, Maxi Lopez and Rodriques. They are seriously taking the piss, where are these players gonna play, at Underhill or something. There is only space for 11 players.
BASTARD blues. thats what they should change their name to.

better technique than kalou?? there aren't much players with kalou's skills. how can you say he's much better?

Mostarac (Trusted Member) on January 11th, 2005, 2:14 pm

Because Kalou is playing in a little league, while Bojinov has proven himself in one of the best leagues in the world, the Serie A. That is why jacc 7 1 can say that Bojinov is better.

Mostarac are you Bojinov's agent by any chance? You must have some sort of compensation if he signs for Arsenal because you are his biggest fan.

There is no doubting that the Serie A is better than the dutch league but it doesn't mean Bojinov is in a different league than Kalou. Don't forget the likes of Robben, RVP etc have come from the dutch league and they have made a good impact. Kalou is rated apparently as good as Robben and we know what he's done with Chelsea.

Haha, Bojinov has promised me 5% of the deal if we sign him. No, I am just joking. But I feel that Bojinov would have been a great addition to our team.

Bojinov's maturiy is his finest attribute. They're lots of skilful youngsters in world football but their mentality is usually what seperates them from the men and the boys.

Feyenoord said they won't sell their best players...
They rejected a 10m euro bid on their other forward, Kuyt.

And he has to get a Dutch passport if he wants to leave..

Give this Kid a chance. He is younger than Kezman and is already stealing the show. Kezman was always going ot be a dud and that was obvious just by lookin both at his international and champions league scoring record. They are both very poor :thumbdown . And what do you mean by saying the dutch league produce poor strikers that can score there and not in Europe. Last time i checked the likes of Ronaldo, Van nistelrooy, Makaay and even way back to the great Romario all made names for themselves

This is a player that I really want AW to have a close look at. I don't think Aliadiere has what it takes to become the striker we need. With DB singing on his final song we're going to need to strengthen the attack. What do you guys think about getting him during the summer? I believe he's 19, so his potential is tremendous. I believe this summer is our chance to get him. He's bound to move to a major club very soon.

I think we need to look at more established players. Especialy up front.

talked about numerous times, a gem of a player. there is one problem though, he is from the ivory coast but wants a dutch passport (plays for feyenoord), but for him to get a passport he has to wait a certain period of time, i think he has maybe another couple of years before he qualifies, this is the only reason he is still in holland. PSV tried to buy him which would have worked out as he cpuld still try and get a dutch passport but he didnt want to be tied down to them in the long run.

He is utter class, he's young, he can play in any position up front and it's his lifelong dream to play for Arsenal. If we let this one go to Chelsea I will never forgive the people responsible.

I actually agree with Gurgen. To the letter.

Last I head the Dutch people were crying out for him to get his passport. Even Van Basten wanted him in the nationals. Surelly he'll get it soon? anyone know more about this?

GoonerGurjit (Elite Member) on October 4th, 2005, 9:41 pm

I do believe that Wenger's keeping a close eye on Kalou. He's got massive potential and will go on to be a great player..

i think they [Dutch] try to make him play with them in WC2006
i think he'll get his passport very soon as i heard that they held a parliament session to discuss this issue

Damn, another African soon to be lost to European machinations. Pity for him cause Ivory Coast have a good team and will likely be in the World Cup. But he should come to Arsenal, pronto!

I can't expect us to be able to buy good players this Xmas unless their national teams are definitely out of the world cup. Any player with a chance of playing next June will want to stick to his club so that he can nail a place in his national team.

Kalou is trying to get a Dutch passport, but he demands special treatment; he wants the minister to speed up the procedure because of his talent and 'possible contribution to Dutch football and society'. Both the minister and parliament do not want to give him special status, despite pleas from Cruyff (god) and Van Basten (son of god). The courts agree with the minister and parliament. So Kalou will have to wait, just like the other thousands of immigrants.

Besides, if he were to play for Holland, who would he replace? Van Nistelrooy? Mackaay? Robben? Kuijt? Van Persie? Holland doesn't exactly have a striker problem. Kalou is good, but not that good (yet).

He should just marry me, then a passport wouldn't be such a problem

slight problem... Ivory Coast will most likely NOT make it to the WC next year unless Cameroon completely bomb their final qualifier (not likely to happen in Cameroon)... remember, the IC lost to Cameroon in the previous qualifier, which puts Cameroon 1 point ahead of IC...

Kalou (if he gets his naturalization for Holland) has a better chance of going to the WC with the Dutch (if picked)

Anyone know how long he has to wait before he can get his passport?

Till 2008.
