Arsenal vs Newcastle
-----------------------------------------------------Emirates Stadium------------------------------------------------Sunday 12th March 2012------------------------------------------------------Kick off – 8:00pm-----------------------------------
My Preferred Lineup:- - - - - - - - - - - - Szczesny
- Sagna - Koscielny - Vermaelen - Gibbs
- - - - - - - - - - - Song - - Arteta
- Walcott - - - - - Rosicky - - - -Chamberlain
- - - - - - - - - - - -- van PersieBench: - Fabianski, Djourou, Jenkinson, Ramsey, Gervinho, Chamakh, ParkMy Score Prediction- Arsenal - 3 - - - - - - Newcastle - 1- van Persie - - - - - -- Demba Ba
--Walcott
--VermaelenWell, after 3 brilliant results in a row, I'm really hoping we can keep that form up in this match. It's another tough game against a top 4 rival, but it's arguably the most winnable out of the last 4 and I think we will see a comfortable victory if the team play as well as they have been recently.

Very relieved we get an extra day to recover.
Hope to see a few players back and ideally Song/RVP rested if we wrap the game up as both have been playing way too often.

I'm not sure how fit Rosicky, Theo, Gibbs and AOC are going to be for this one. Especially the first two.
Its vital they all play.

We need to keep our defensive shape and be wary of their strikers.
They do have decent players who can make life difficult for us.
Hope we smash them 5-0 though.

this is going to be an extremely physically intensive game, that two faced **** pardew was complaining about sunderland's rough play after their 1-1 draw but i'm pretty sure he'll set his team out to do the same to us, don't know who is suspended for them but i hope cabaye and tiote are out..
kos will have to deal with ba's strength, they'll threaten via set pieces and the like so we'll really have to keep our concentration levels up, hope we nick this 2-1.

In the last 10 days we've beaten spurs, liverpool and ac milan with a combined score of 10-3 where many would have expected us to capitulate.
We'll smash these *****.
4-1.

Hopefully they will be naive enough to come up against us with 2 strikers again just like they did against Spurs

Not too sure about the fitness of our players. RVP , Song , Sagna and Gibbs looked tired. Ox, Rosicky and Theo seem to have knocks. I hope the extra day's recovery time is enough for everyone. Pardew will have them prepared to physically test us , with that Tiote especially - he doesnt hold back with those tackles.

If we play at the same tempo as Milan they won't touch us .

I see your Pardew and raise you McLeish.
On topic though, it depends how Newcastle come and play. If they come thinking they can beat us we should beat them comfortably. If they come hoping to salvage a point i can imagine it being pretty tough.
3-0: Rvp x 2, Ox.
1-1: RvP - Cisse.

If Rosicky carries on his form then we should be ok. Can't believe I'm starting to see Rosicky as a potential game winner - possibly a little knee jerk.
Whatever, 2-0 to us. Rosicky and RvP.

Hopefully they'll play with only 1 striker. We seem to handle teams better when they pack their midfield. A Ba-Cisse pairing would give our defenders some difficulty.

We haven't beaten Newcastle in the league for absolutely ages - time to put that straight.
Ox and RvP to run riot.

The Cabaye signing baffles me. He had Champions league football waiting for him at Lille. He's a good player who had an important role in Lille winning ligue 1, why did he join Newcastle who had finished 12th and for a low fee? Lille wanted him to stay.

IMO we MUST take 3 points in this otherwise IMO the result v Milan will have been for nothing.

Newcastle are a big club, so they are an attractive team for players. Also a lot of players from the french league want to prove themselves abroad on bigger stages, perhaps Cabaye was one.
Anyway onto the match, i think we'll win this 3-0. We'v been really good at home this year and i dont see Newcastle changing that much.

Could possibly jinx this, but the Cisse guy looks average to me. Ba is a threat and obviously Tiote/Cabaye is a hard-working CM pair. Apart from that, Newcastle are average.
Really hope we stick it to that **** Pardew, what a small-time idiot. I think Spurs might slip at Everton while I'd expect Chelsea to beat Stoke at home, so a win is vital for us.

Hate the manager, like the club.
My Geordie mate reckons they'll go with one up top (Ba) and then Ben Arfa and Guttierez out wide. Or possibly Ben Arfa off Ba with Ryan Taylor on the right side of midfield.
As for Cabaye - long term the guy has the chance to make a name for himself in the Premiership if he signed for Newcastle, who are still a big club with a lot of potential, and perhaps earn a move to one of the top English sides. With funding they could make Champion's League football on a pretty consistent basis, can't see Lille doing that.

Considering the competition I can see Lille being regulars in the UCL far more than Newcastle over the next decade.

october 2010 was the last time... one loss and two ties since...
every game is an absolute must win from now on... but that's just not realistic we will slip, but it's important to win the home games against the bigger opponents to keep the confidence level up
the good news is Newcastle have conceded over 60% of their goals while away... so they sure will concede a goal but it's time to get revenge for that miserable 4-4 match!

The first 5 minutes of this game will tell us a lot. Will the players coe out firing with the same intensity they showed against Spurs and Milan? If they do, we will murder them, if they play like they did against Liverpool it will be a difficult game.
Happy this is at Emirates, All our remaining big fixtures (Chelsea and Man City) are at home which is great!

So glad that Arteta, Ramsey, Gibbs, Walcott, Santos and Oxlade are all fit for this match. That's like 40% of our first team!

It won't be an easy game, Newcastle are where they are for a reason and with players like Tiote, Gutierrez, Ba, Cisse, Cabaye and Ben Arfa, they have players who can cause us problems
Must win game as I can see Chelsea beating Stoke comfortably
