I don't get why people here want those filthy cheats to win the league. 400m spent, plagued with mercenaries, picking off talent with oil money. It will only strengthen their ability to attract Europe's very very best and reduce everyone else's chances of making this title race competitve.

At least Man Utd have rebuilt teams with revenues generated by their own success on the football pitch. They have built a brand by winning trophies as opposed to City who I find pretty abhorrent.

Dont care about money you either have it or you dont simples.If you have cash for ferrari you want it ,you buy it.If you dont have cash to buy one but want one stfu or work to get one.

I dont like manure and city are where I have always felt for them just another prem team.It would be better for league if city win it.Tired of these suspect corrupt manure brand/club winning the league.

I hope people aren't moaning. A 3-0 away victory when the pressure is on is huge.

Can we sign up Yossi? And Ches is f*cking amazing, as I always said. Class act.

We have 4 very tricky games coming up:
@home Wigan
@home Chel$ea
@away Stoke
@home Norwich
@away WestBrom

I'm glad the difficult games are at Emirates!

I think looking at today's game:

1- we played awfully during the second half, terrible display on every corner of the pitch
2- Santos and DJ haven't had proper game time for a long time and they need to adjust very quickly... given the amount of games they've had recently I think they both did very well... specially Djourou given the amount of unnecessary criticism he gets!
3- Van Persie... Van Persie... Van Persie... need I say anything?!
4- We really need to take these games more seriously... I think if they had their 11th man on the field then they would've caused us a lot of troubles... complacency is a serious problems in this team it seems.

We're lucky coz Spuds are playing QPR away and Newcastle are playing Stoke at home... both are very likely to drop points while we play Wigna (the new giant-killers?) at home and am sure will get something out of it.

I'll never moan after a victory - particularly as things stand between us, Chels, Totts and Newc - but as an observation, I don't think I've ever sat through a worse 3-0 away win in my life. There's still something very wrong with this teams mentality and, sometimes, victories can be more revealing.

As easy as the scoreline may suggest it was, we've seen games like this end up at 2-2 or worse, and it threatened to go that way at one stage.

I think you're overreacting, Jury. Had they scored, we'd have responded and got out of first gear.

i couldn't agree more, had sneezy not made that save and dolye had scored via that header, i'm pretty sure it would have ended 2-2 or worse for us, knowing our penchant to panic and press the self destruct button, i cannot understand for the love of my life why we ALWAYS switch off and immediately drop a couple of gears instead of cementing a proper and thorough lead once we get our noses infront. You would think after all the times we've let ourselves down by going to sleep the team would know by now to just keep going and get 4 or 5 goals when its possible but they always never seem to want to do that, we really need to change this mentality of ours if we want to win things, i remember yanited blowing wolves away 5-0 in the same fixture, wolves also had a man sent off and yanited didn't give them a sniff the entire game.

Also, was i the only one who was extremely worried over the fact that van persie was not taken off after we were up 3-0, i cannot understand the logic, if you're going all out, it makes sense to keep him on the field if you're looking to add to your goals scored tally, if you're obviously just looking to run the clock down, its really a risk to keep rvp on the field especially when at that point, a couple of the wolves players were starting to show their frustration and put in a couple of meaty tackles.

Probably, still Sneezy had to make a truly great save.

Glad RVP had his Panenka. Was expecting a showboat pen for a while. Hope he'll now do the usual ones for a while.

+1
exactly my thoughts

So is anybody thinking we should sign Benayoun permanently after this season?

Personally I think he's too slow and we should aim higher. But he could probably be a decent squad option if he's not demanding too high wages and we can get him cheaply (he has one more year left in his contract with Chelsea).

We ran the clock down to perfection in the first half but became complacent in the second half.

Szczesny's decisive save killed the game.

We were more exposed last season when lacking in concentration. Now we have a more balanced midfield with either Song or Arteta helping the defenders out.

i'd rather sign him permanently then take arshavin back, he works harder, both offensively and defensively, is an intelligent player in the sense that he knows how to work his marker, is always looking for spaces to exploit and has very professional so far, hasn't been given many chances but when he has, he's turned up and tried his best. Exact opposite of arshavin.

I don't want to sign Benayoun on a permanent basis tbh. He's viewed as a wide man by Wenger and adds little penetration to our side, which leaves our right side to make up for it, and as we've all saw this season, teams tend to flood the danger side with players to nullify the threat. See Barry sitting on top of Clichy last week, with Kolarov getting back quite a lot as a prime example.

I agree with Jury's assessment. Our attitude needs to be better against teams in the relegation fight. I am glad the Wigan game is at home. It will still be a mighty tough game and I hope the players treat it as such.

And the worst part is... Nasri lifting a trophy and rubbing it in our faces.

I don't like seeing Man United win, but they're old rivals with history and class who we can grudgingly respect. City are cheating scum who bought success with hundreds of millions.

As opposed to ManUre who have bought success with hundreds of millions?

Please.

There is no difference in reality. The only difference is in the psychology of it - you have accepted that ManUre will win titles, where Man Sheikhty winning titles is still fresh, new and somewhat uncomfortable.

ManUre's current team contains more players bought for £30m than City's does, for a start.

Yes, I hate those comfortable 3-0 wins away from home.

Rest assured it would have been a different performance has they scored.

Honestly, we win 3-0 at a canter and go 5 points clear of Spurs, and people are still complaining.

I love how we start every game but why in last 20-15 min at 1st half we gone sloopy and let the teams get back. we need to fix that.

well done lads 9 wins from last 10 games, 5 games to go keep focus win the all home games and we should be in the CL next season.

Just watched game on football focus. Won at a canter. Some were cantering more than others. I'm looking at you Santos!

Ramsey can't catch a break at the moment. Other than that, good result from a game which could have been a potential banana skin.

to be fair to Santos, he was just starting to get into his stride when Wenger made the awful decision to play him v. Olympiakos.. he was somewhat poor in his first couple games with the team the first time around too..

ebouenolike (Trusted Member) on April 11th, 2012, 11:53 pm

Some people here are utter morons. We won 3-0. Away. At a team fighting to stay in the league.

But no, we could have won 5-0 so it's not good enough. Jog on.

Great win.

I'm not too concerned US. He'll need a run in the team to get back to the form we saw just prior to his injury.

Hmmmmm. I've seen us go to pieces more often than respond to goals conceded away from home in the last few years, when seemingly cruising. I don't pluck this negativity out of my anus lad!! Sure, we've done well recently when going behind, but we were in front this time... Still, who knows.

And yes, I want City to win te league. Infact, if it were a choice of getting 2nd and Man U winning it, or 3rd and City win it, I'd PAY MONEY to finish 3rd. Hard ******* core or what?! :mrgreen:
User avatar

ebouenolike (Trusted Member) on April 12th, 2012, 12:20 am

You'd rather finish 3rd than 2nd? Why?

Also, I booed at 3-0 as we achieved it with Ramsey on the pitch. Principles and such.
