nice one vinci

well i think wolves have lost their hope about staying in PL next season they are in very bad form while we are in very good form. i can see us win this by alot of goals but we must be careful and not doing the same when we played QPR.

Oh and dont start ramsey please.

Chesney

Sagna Djoruou Vermaelen Santos

Song Arteta

Walcott Rozza Ox/Gervinho

Rvp

3-0. for gunners.

Yousif, I thought you were going to start the thread but Vinci beat you to it. :D

This should be a win, but i won't be expecting an easy win. Wolves has been dog **** for a while now but it'd just be typical if they were to perform out of their skins on Wednesday and get a draw/win against us.

Hope they stay **** for another game at least.

3-1 Arsenal.

Nice thread.

This will be an easy win as long as we don't treat it as such beforehand. Turn up, game face on, put to sword.

Three points.

Please please please keep your focus and down come out line Wolves are going to lay down for us. Give 100% from the off and put this away early. No point in beating big clubs and winning big games if you through away points in other fixtures.

RVP with a hattrick to get going again. Boy he was unlucky today.

This is going to be hard, it always is at Molineux.
Think Wenger will start the same line up as today, bar changes due to injuries or fatigue.

Normally, this should be a win, but I'm sceptical.
The next three games will determine how well our season ends.....

Not sure why, but I have a sneaky feeling Fulham might be able to do us a favour against Chelsea tomorrow. If they do and we win this, things will be looking moist.

If Wenger is looking to play Ramsey in Midfield this is the game to do it, if he's not up to it put Arteta back in or even Song.

Usual Starting 11 and this should be a mismatch, I know everyone will want to play our best but if we are going to rest some of the regulars then I feel Gerv, Santos, Ox even Ramsey could start this one, not all of them start mind you you but a couple.

Any early news on Gibbs' injury?

Why do you think he's injured? Santos needs playing time, I think he was subbed because of that and to give us some more attacking edge on the left side.

As for the Wolves game I think it's going to be a very nervous game and we'll have to fight hard to win. I don't think Wolves are out of the relegation race just yet but the game against us is one of their last chances to start putting some points on the table. They won't bend over and will fight us hard for the points, I expect some dirty tactics and a lot of bullying from them.

The commentators said they'd heard it was a groin problem, and you could see him moving with a bit of hesitation. Probably taken off as more of a precaution.

Oh so he wasn't injured? I thought I saw him limping slightly before being subbed.

Maybe, he was in full sprint just a couple of moments before the substitution so it could only be a precaution. In any case I don't think it's anything serious but we'll probably see Santos starting against Wolves.

Szscesny
Sagna Djourou Vermaelen Santos
Arteta Song
Walcott Rosicky Chamberlain
RVP

Fabianski Miquel Jenkinson Ramsey Benayoun Gervinho Chamakh

But I think that Ramsey will probably start instead Rosicky or AOC

Early Goal = Win

Get after them and put one in right away. Don't let them think they'll get anything from the game.

Wolves have been really dire since sacking McCarthy (terrible decision).

I'd love to see some more of the Ox in this game.

GDeep (Forum Member) on April 9th, 2012, 1:31 am

They are down as far as I'm concerned but this game could be their last battle before they accept defeat in premiership survival. We'll nick a win, hopefully.
User avatar

ebouenolike (Trusted Member) on April 9th, 2012, 2:10 am

They'll be battling for anything they can get, but *if* we turn up and don't act like complacent idiots then we will win this.

Surely must win this. Win this and Wigan and we've got a huge shot of finishing 3rd. COME ON.

Don't think Kos could've been suspended for a better pair of games. Wolves are simply dire and I expect us to turn them over.

Rooney is getting very close to RvP's goals tally, so hopefully he'll put in a few. I was furious with Ramsey for not sliding it to him today.
User avatar

ebouenolike (Trusted Member) on April 9th, 2012, 2:41 am

Yep, Kos' suspension *could* have been for worse games, but my faith in Djourou is very limited. If he can get through the next couple of games without major incident, I'd be chuffed.

2-0 to Arsenal.

Fabo correctly predicted how bad would be for Wolves to rely on their caretaker manager, this one is to increase goal difference just in case.

I would rest Robin, a little rest might be what he needs to get some of his form back, would be sad to see Rooney getting the golden boot.

He could have played Ox in before taking that dodgy first touch, could have played him in again before pulling it back, could have slid RVP in and should have buried it after getting one on one with Hart.

Makes your blood boil!

Anyways. Terry Connor is not cut out to be an EPL manage, nor wants to be and. He seems overwhelmed and the team is mirroring that, no leadership at all. We could and should walk this fixture, espically after a win like yesterday they are bottom of league and on been beat 6 times on the bounce and we have won 8 of our last 9.

4-1 Arsenal

Arsenal

RvP x 2
Walcott
Santos

Wolves

Fletcher

No need to rest Robin plus Wolves has always been tough, play your best team because losing or drawing isn't an option

------------ Szczesny
Sagna - Djourou - Vermaelen - Santos
Arteta --------- Rosicky ------ Song
Walcott --- Van Persie ---- Benanyoun

I wasn't angry with Ramsey for taking the shot as he did the hard work and literally had an open goal, I was more pissed at how the hell he didn't get it on target .... at all.

RVP went nuts and Ox threw a tantrum as well, looks like the team is running out of patience with Ramsey?

I doubt that
After running 70-80 yards if a team mate misses a golden opportunity to either score or assist then players moan

We REALLY have to win this game. Would be typical of us to get a big result than throw it away against a relegation side.

Our midfield will dominate their's so i don't see any reason to play Benayoun or Ramsey at left wing. Has to be Gervinho or AOC. We aren't going to get many more chances to up the goal difference so we should go all out and hope to give hem a hiding. Hopefully something like 3-0 or 4-0.

Spurs will probably go ahead of us after their Norwich game so the pressure will be on us.

fabo (Forum Member) on April 9th, 2012, 12:18 pm

We're pretty hit and miss away from home - Wolves really are dead and buried though, approach this in the right way and we'll win. They have no manager and no defence, also struggle to score goals.

Hope RVP can get back on the score-sheet too, his form is concerning.
