They look both as two big prospects, maby we can get one of them they look very talentfull,
I dont see Lyon sell both of them or they will ask a big amount of money but if we can get them both, do it right now..

I would love Benzema here as I said in the Lobby. Can't see it happening but if Bendtner continues to run his mouth maybe swap the two with a little bit of money on the side?
Still can't see it happening though.

I don't see AW buying so many players anymore. We need one/dwo players, but more than that no. And this seems like way too much money for them IMO.
I would love them beause they seem like huge talents and prospect and could do wonders over here, but I must admit I can't see that happening.

when will the press learn that we dont pay over the odds, even for young french players...
talking about bin arafa, i only saw him once, against rangers, and he reminded me of hleb, bags of skills creamed with a footballing brain and creativity.
benzeme is destined to juve or chelsea imo

Aye

Can't help getting excited about this one. I flicked through The Sun this morning, and find this....great! Seriously guys, these two are immense players, so young and allready have broke into the French national team. I don't watch a lot of French football, but from the little I have seen they've both blown me away. Especially Benzema, great player. Ben Arfa as well, absolutley amazing. With the £70m that Wenger has to spend, many of us think that this will be a high-spending January. I'd love to spend a massive chunk n that on these two. They both have a world-class future in English football, I hope it's with Arsenal.

Yes please. Ben Arfa is a talendted left footed left winger, isn`t that what we need. Benzema is just good, damn good.
Btw, is France`s national team future looking unbelievably great or what.

Really?
I am not expecting a high spending January at all, in fact quite the opposite.
We have an abudence of players as far as numbers are concerned, and quite clearly Wenger believes they are all good enough, irrespective of what some might think.
we ae top of the league, going nicely in the ECL, Ade is no longer going to the ANC, really don't see it.

I'd love both. I think Ben Arfa is the more realistic target. We'll see.

I'd like Benzema as it's a class name to scream when he releases a shot flying into the top corner....."BENZEEEEMMAAAAA!
(i bet your all doing it

)
Seriously though, never seen either play i dont think but certainly sound like the real deal. Most people seem to think Benzema in particular is pure class.

I have known about both of these players for quite a while, they were always going to be huge players.
Lyon (and Houllier) have a habit of always asking for more than the players are worth.
As much as I think £40m is for the pair, I do think by todays standards, it'll definitely be £40m well spent. Both would bolster the squad massively and it is a large chunk of cash, but if Lyon agreed to sell both for £30m, I reckon Wenger may be tempted.
Reyes was about £15m and these players are better than him I feel and would easily fit into the squad much quicker and much easier, so it could be possible.
But, with Wenger, who knows? All I can safely say that if he feels the deal is good value, he'll take it (after trying to decrease the amount by another £5-10m, the sly git

). However, Wenger has said that he'll go for players if he thinks they can improve the team, and at the moment, why bother?
Things will become a lot clearer in Janurary.

Godfather, I am not that familiar with either of them. But are they REALLY worth 15 M pounds per?
We do have a lot of young kids coming in, and even Vela is cleared for a January return ....

I would take any, I actually rate Ben Arfa higher than Benzema, I've been tracking Ben Arfa's progress throughout the past year or so, but Benzema has exploded into this superb player out of nowhere, we'll see what happens but I'll take any one of them any day of the week

Suprisingly enough having not heard about Benzema I ended up buying him in my Fifa 2008 manager mode in my fifth or sixth season after scouting for a while. He was at a 97 overall rating! Very easy to play with I must say, strong, quick, skilful and can finish with either foot.
No idea about the player in real life though. Don't watch the French league too much. :p

The way we're playing at the moment, with Walcott and Bendtner coming on, and Eboue and Diaby playing ok on the flanks, I'd be really surprised if we bought anything more than a replacement for Jens in January. We may not even need that if he pulls his head in.
Sure benzema looks to be a huge talent, but what would a 30-40m signing do to the team mid-season? We've got spirit and style and grit right now. Maybe we'll have our traditional November slump and I'l look like a goose (again), but I can't see Wenger splashing the cash.
