Walcott is next in line in terms of contract negotiations. With 12 months left on his deal I'm surprised there isn't much news with regards to him in the media or from the club.
I'd like for him to sign, for the sake of continuity and I think he can develop into an excellent player, but I wouldn't bat an eyelid if he left. Quite frankly, we've lost numerous more talented players for me to be saddened by him leaving. He's too inconsistent and limited for me to lose any sleep over his departure.
As I've mentioned before he should thank his lucky stars that Wenger has given him a starting spot regardless of form. Any team that he may deem a step above us wouldn't put up with months of poor form at a time.

He's lucky he's at a club as big as Arsenal, if he doesn't accept the first offer we give him then we should sell him, he's not worth the hassle. Let him go to Chelsea or Liverpool and see how they put up with his displays.
There're plenty of players out there that would be an upgrade on him.

He is lucky ha ha.
Had Walcott been at any other club and we negotiating with him we would be all for this move, and gutted if he didnt sign. He is part of our setup and plays a key role for us.
I fear he too wont sign, and I dont believe it stops there. Its all about damage control now

Who cares about Theo anymore? He's been here for long time and didn't improve enough.A player that has one good game in five is not top player, but Wengers has a bad habit to keep cr*p players and loose top players

He scores goals and wins games. If he wants to leave it definitely won't be about the money, but that he's tired of playing out of position. Whether we agree with him or not, he fancies himself a striker, and will go to any club that promises to play him as a CF.
Maybe it's time we give him that chance?

He'll switch on Wenger just like Nasri, Robin, Hleb and Ade - Cesc not included as he gave us multiple world class seasons before he called it quits.
Come on, Theo has seen Nasri, Clichy, Cesc and Robin leave in a space of 12 months, Song is now being linked with a move to Italy and Verms to Barca - Walcott will jump ship.

This has obviously got trouble written all over it.
Our two top goal scorers could be gone in a matter of weeks, Kronke and his minions have run this club into the ground.
How did we go from the invincibles to this?
More fool us for thinking Podolski and Giroud was going to mean a great season, we should have known the typical BS was inevitable.
I'll read the script now, RVP goes, Walcott goes, we don't sign any replacements and if we do it will be a 13yr old or someone nobody in football has heard of.
Tell me this how the hell are we going to make top 4 now let alone win a cup?
I could be gullible and think Arsenal will reinvest and sign suitable replacements ..... but we all know that ain't happening.

For a player who's played so many games at a young age, he has hardly improved. Maybe it would be a good idea to sell him if we can't negotiate a new contract.

Oh no Walcott, please don't go!!!

I'd be perfectly happy for Liverpool to add him to their collection of rubbish English dross.

If he wants to go, don't let the door hit you on the way out. The day a player like Theo thinks he is better than arsenal is the day this club hits rock bottom.

All liklelyhood is that he wants to play CF like others have said and wants a good pay package. I doubt arsenal are willing to match up on either count and expect that he has reservations about signing at all after what RVP has said and teh ambition of the clubs that are interested in him (Juve, Chelsea).

Expecting him to pull out the "I want to play CF" "frustrated playing out of position" lines when he joins Chelsea on 100k a week plus.

Well hey if your going to be forced to play out of position may as well get paid for it right?
He's got Arsenal over a barrel now, we can drop sure but then what?

Think Walcott signing is 50/50 . Think he is a very decent player but if he wants to go well good luck to him .

He's way, way out of our league financially. We're not getting a whole lot for a hot-and-cold player (at best) who's on the final year of his contract.
Götze just signed a new deal at Dortmund so it'd probably take 30m+ just to get Dortmund to pick up the phone. And then the player himself would want to move here as well which is far from guaranteed.

Whats the big deal with 30m+? If that player is good enough we can afford it no big deal whatever.

Tell him he'll get the shot up front that he's always wanted if he signs. If he doesn't impress then sell him.
He had a decent season last year, but how much of his production was due to RvP? I guess we'll find out.

Well if what Theo said is true, no reason for him to seek negotiations then, and no reason for us to try as it'd be the same case than RVP (we already signed a replacement so they know he's gone, etc).
I, however, expect to sell him at a ridiculous sum due to his nationality.

I want Walcott to sign a new deal but if he left it wouldn't be the end of the world. We could replace him, ideally with a more skillful type player to play outwide.

without robin he'l have nothing to aim at.
dont care about his stats.how many of those "assists" would have been converted by giroud or podolski.
RVP made everyone look better. unless we sign a top quality AM now were done. Robin was often both the finisher and creater in many games, playing in the like of gervinho, theo, benayoun etc.
now theres nowhere near enough creativity in the team. id sign him if were going to give him a chance upfront. otherwise id take the money we can get, and buy a new winger, somebody that can create themselves.

Im not sure of the circumstances.
But if i thought for one minute that this average player wanted out i would firstly laugh in his face then literally kick him out the door.
Im not sure if Arsène is a genuis or just being genuine, when dealing with average players like Nasri and Walcott. Is he an excellent actor convincing the media and other clubs that these players are on the brink of becoming worldclass and it would cut him to the bone to lose them. So as some extremly naive or for want of a better word stupid club like Man City come in with an outrageous bid for a very limited player.
Any bid above 15mill for Walcott and i would snap the hand off.
