great idea squalidkid - cheers.

Any chance you could put something in between age + price? Would be easier to differentiate between the numbers when skimming.

Maybe, Name: Age: From club: Price?
Just a suggestion, great addition as it is.

Thanks, a lot of work lol.

Juventus are really putting together some squad.

fabo (Forum Member) on July 11th, 2012, 9:00 am

Inter aren't afraid to spend anyway, Handanovic should prove a good buy. Looks like they've well overpaid for Palacio though - he's 30 years of age.
User avatar

jones (Forum Member) on July 11th, 2012, 1:31 pm

Would you say that they overpaid for Di Natale if they bought him four years ago for that price?

Not saying Palacio is on the same level, he's a decent striker and he could easily give them three, four years of good service.

Added in a few more transfers to the OP.

Many sites that post transfer rumours are fond of players swap rumours, or make weight player plus cash rumours. I'm just wondering how many such deals actually take place. Other than when we swapped Gallas and Ashley Cole...have we been involved in another player swap deal? And are these sort of deals common? I wouldn't want to be the player being used as a make weight in a player plus cash deal!! :D

They're pretty rare, the last big one i remember was Eto plus cash for Zlatan to take him to Barca a few years back. There's never been a swap deal of that scale since though.

This is a great idea. Would need the thread starter to constantly update to make this thread work though.

Those guys are free transfers and proven EPL performers. Together with Park these look like signings to keep QPR in the EPL for the immediate future. Tony Fernandez is no sugar daddy he isnt going to dump 40-50m into the club and write it off. The guy is a shrewd businessman and his prority is rightly to keep the club in the EPL.

Andrew Johnson is NOT a proven PL performer. The guy wasn't able to make the step up from Championship. And add to that he's been injured almost as much as Diaby the last 3 seasons.

They also already bought Cisse and Zamora.

We aren't exactly fonded by a sugar daddy either, but we managed to sign Kevin Nolan, Matty Taylor, Mohammed Diame and so on.

I understand the signing of Green, Diakite and Park though.
User avatar

Clrnc (Trusted Member) on July 14th, 2012, 1:07 pm

The signings are exactly what Mark Hughes likes though. Tony Fernandez is such a shrewd business man (see what he done with Caterham and AirAsia) you know he will only do profitable business.

Think QPR squad is a little weaker than last year. That had the help of loan signings like Taiwo, and now even Buzasky is gone.

Could somebody please post a few more transfers that have happened?

Giovinco has returned (i think it's a return anyway :S) to Juve after they bought out Palermo's 50% stake. I think it was between 8 and 9 million pounds.

I added more transfers to the first post and some to my second post in the thread.

7-8 years ago

Doubt a player who relied largely on his quickness is going to find his form again at 31.

Oh sure, he's **** now. He was decent for a while though.
