Arsenal manager, Arséne Wenger, last night cancelled his scouting trip to Belgium due to uncertainity regarding Icelandic striker, Kolbeinn Sigthorsson, who is a doubt because of injury before Iceland U17’s game against England in the European Championship Finals today.

Arsenal kept a close eye on the Sigthorsson injury front yesterday and after hearing that the striker will undergo a last minute fitness test ahead of todays game decided to postpone their trip.

Wenger is expected to travel to Belgium on Friday when Iceland play Holland but only if Sigthorsson will participate in that game........

Good find mate. Apparently he's had a trial at Arsenal every year since he was 12 or something, and is a gunners supporter himself, and his contract runs out this year. Would be great to get him - you can never have too many superkids really.

yeah. Kolbien Sigthorrson is good I believe. He scored something like 13 goals in 8 game sor what. But we're flooding our academy with foreigners. Where will our englishmen go ?

If the englishmen are really good, they'll make the grade no matter how many foreigners we have

Exactly.

If a player is good enough they will get opportunities, nationality doesnt come into it. We want the best players possible at our academy.

If Sigthorrson comes in and forces an English striker out (I can only think of 2 that we have anyway) It will be because hes better, and its therefore in the best interests of the club. If the reverse happens it should be, and will be, because the English player is better and not just because he is English.
