Was Eduardo really that bad to get a 3? Didn't notice myself. Got Walcott into a solid chance actually, didn't really have much time to make any impact too.

Almunia - 6. Nothing to do.

Sagna - 8. Awesome. Worked like a trojan and was really dangerous going forward.

Campbell - 6. Won a hell of a lot of headers, and was strong as an ox. few awkward moments as well.

Vermaelen - 7. Outstanding in the first half, few iffy moments in the second.

Clichy - 8. Awesome. Made some super tackles, and ran so hard.

Denilson - 6. A good performance by his standards, but still some very poor moments. Worked his socks off though.

Nasri - 3. Appalling. Not sure whether he was tired after Tuesday, or playing nonchalantly after Tuesday, but he was desperately poor.

Diaby - 4. His touch was terrible. His passing was terrible, and he was in and out defensively.

Eboue - 6. A real live-wire in the final third, but wasteful at times.

Arshavin - 6. Great, great goal. Some other great moment where he left opponents for dead, but woeful finishing nearly cost us.

Bendtner - 5. Exactly the same as Nasri (I suspect), tired and affected by the emotional high of Tuesday night. Thank God for that finish though. Well done Niklas!

Subs

Walcott - 6. Put it on a plate for others a couple of times in his little cameo.

Eduardo - 5. Few nice touches, but offered little when he came on.

We were not that bad, we missed chances, had Arshavin put away those 2 chances, everyone would get an 8.

You sound as if there was anybody else on the bench Wenger could take him of for? Come on seriously.

Al-7-not troubled, couple of important catches/throws
Sagna-8- thought he was brilliant
Sol-5- old
Verm-7- good
Clichy-7-good
Denilson-6- physically weak, that’s my only gripe with him, got the shot which led to the goal though
Diaby-6.5-decent/goodish
Nasri-6- decent
Arshavin-7- point for the good goal, otherwise sloppy and wasteful in front of goal
Eboue-6-alright, don’t know why he was subbed
Bendtner-7-another important goal
Theo-8-I thought he really changed the game- massive impact
Eduardo-6-positive impact

Average performance, the win is all that is important. As a side note, I hate espn uk...their pathetic tabloidy looking for a narrative angle with the penalty/sending-off/sol punditry...trying to hype it up in the interviews and analysing something that wasn’t there in the first place, hate john champion too, mumbling on cluelessly about nothing..

Massively important win.

I believe as a unit we would get a higher mark, however the induvidual performances were poor as shown in my ratings.

Almunia 7 - Didn't have a whole lot to do but a solid game from him
Sagna 7.5 - Very good I thought, offensively and defensively.
Campbell 5.5 - Fairly shaky at times.
Vermaelen 6.5 - Another solid game from him.
Clichy 7.5 - Our man of the match in my opinion. Did very well.
Denilson 6 - Got muscled off the ball at times but had a solid game for me.
Nasri 4.5 - Offered nothing really.
Diaby 5 - Wasn't great. He's so frustrating at times.
Eboue 6 - Good game. A bit wasteful at times.
Bendtner 6 - Scored the vital goal.
Arshavin 5.5 - Goal aside, it wasn't one of his better games.
Walcott 6 - Threatened them when he came on.
Eduardo 6 - A few neat touches and a nice through ball when he came on.

Amunia 7 - Really did't had a lot to do. Solid all round.
Sagna 7 - He was good.
Campbell 6 - Showing signs of fatigue? It's a good thing he will get at least a week's rest.
Vermaleen 7 - Solid and dependable as ever.
Clichy 8 - He was good defensively and contributed well offensively.
Denilson 7 - I think he is still physically weak but happy he took the shot.
Diaby 7 - Some frustrating moment but good overall.
Nasri 6 - He didn't step it up for me. Honestly disappointed. Maybe I am being harsh but expected a lot more from him
Eboue 8 - What can I say? He's the EBOUE.
Bendtner 9 - Purely for the goal. What a goal scoring run he is having. Long may it continue.
Arshavin 7 - Nice goal but lot of casual plays and missed a few sitters.

Substitutes:
Wacott 7 - I actually think his contribution were good. He crosses were good and his pace does trouble defence.
Eduardo N/A - He really didn't do a lot so hard to rate.

I would take Denilson out first and move Eboue to his position and walcott on the right wing. For Eduardo i would take Sol off as he was one challange away from the red and move sagna in centre half, eboue right back and diaby, nasri and arshavin midfield. We were chasing the game and they were down to 10 and holding for a point. No one would keep Denilson and take out Nasri no matter how quite he was.....bold decision

giuliob (Forum Member) on March 13th, 2010, 10:22 pm

Almunia - 6 Not much happening at his end of the pitch
Sagna - 7.5 Such a solid player. Work rate, doesn't complain. A warrior
Campbell - 6.5 Some creaky moments, but overall a decent performance, and his strength pays dividends
Vermaelen - 7 Another solid performance
Clichy - 8 Man, he is on form when we need it. His pace, work rate. He's worked himself back into shape.
Denilson - 6 Glad he took that shot. He needs to get stronger and faster.
Nasri - 4 Disappointing. Couldn't hold onto the ball, couldn't pass. Is his away form always like this?
Diaby - 6 Decent game but he hasn't reach the point where he really knows what to do with the ball. Is still learning.
Eboue - 7 Love his energy, his desire to make things happen. Put it all out there in the first half
Arshavin - 6 Geez, I expect him to do better when finishing. He can be sloppy and yet he showed his talent with that goal.
Bendtner - 6.5 His work rate has improved over the season, making a difference. A true predator on the goal

Walcott - 6.5 Another lad who has a lot to learn, but he added sparkle to a very disruptive football game
Eduardo - 5

Really harsh rating for Nasri. He basically went back to similar performances to before the Burnley and Porto games. Not brilliant but certainly not as bad as some are making out. Victim of his superb displays int he last couple of games.

I agree with this Abs.

Although I think Diaby would slot into Denilson's position with Eboue going into Diaby's. Eboue's ability to pass players and keep the ball so well these days would have been helped compensate for the lack of Denilson's presence. Added to this an Eboue running at goal at the moment would have added to our effectiveness.

However credit to Walcott and his performance. Credit must be given to Wenger (for bringing him on) because he clearly took advantage of the man's new found confidence.

With Sol Im with you 100%.

I thought Diaby had a quality game to be honest. He stayed back a lot so he wasn't very prolific in the attacking end, but that's obviously the role he was being asked to play. You won't see him play like that when Song is in the team.

Almunia: 6
Sagna: 8
Vermaelen: 8
Sol: 6
Clichy: 8

Denilson: 6
Diaby: 6
Nasri: 5

Arshavin: 6

The team looked really exhausted from back to front, everything seemed to move in slow motion. It didnt help that the pitch was basically destroyed after 10 minutes. A tough game, I wouldn't get too down on most of the players today, it was obviously not an ideal situation.

M+D (Trusted Member) on March 13th, 2010, 10:48 pm

Almunia - 7 - Nothing much to say, coped with the little he had to do solidly.

Sagna - 7.5 - Both full backs were very good I thought. A typically dependable Sagna performance, got forward a lot and defended well.
Campbell - 5 - Some nervy moments with Campbell at the heart of things, looked like he'd already played 90 minutes before stepping onto the pitch.
Vermaelen - 6 - Neither bad nor good really.
Clichy - 8 - So good to see the real Clichy again, he has found form at the right time for us. Thought he was excellent.

Denilson - 6 - Made some decent interceptions and filled in acceptably in the defensive midfield role, be glad when Song comes back next week though. Was pleased to see him commit an important foul at one stage in the 2nd half though when if he had been beaten we could have been in real trouble - sometimes a foul is the best option.
Nasri - 5 - Just looked very tired, was OK at the start but faded the longer the game went on.
Diaby - 6 - A mixed bag from Diaby overall. Sometimes held on to the ball that little bit too long, but not always his fault.

Emmanuel Eboue - 6.5 - The most energetic of the three up front, tried very hard to make things happen, faded in the 2nd half though.
Nicklas Bendtner - 6.5 - Not a lot came off for him, a few terrible decisions on the ball but was also a presence and of course got the vital goal.
Andrey Arshavin - 6 - Guilty of a shocking miss, but as ever a threat with his clever movement, and a good goal albeit a bit lucky. Some very sloppy passing though.

Subs:
Theo Walcott - 7 - Bright, created a few chances and stretched Hull.
Eduardo - N/A - No impact whatsoever tbh.
