With the return of Mesut Ozil and Theo Walcott to the first team, Arsenal now boast one of best and deepest arrays of attacking talent in all of Europe. With increased depth of course comes increases competition, with Wenger facing a balancing act to keep everyone happy. Unfortunately for some players, this may also mean a loan away from the club in order to get first team football as they find themselves frozen out of the picture at Arsenal.

This was the case for Lukas Podolski, Yaya Sanogo, and now Joel Campbell, so the question now posed is- should German youngster Serge Gnabry follow these players out of the club as well? From the surface I would be tempted to say yes, as Gnabry will undoubtedly find himself in the same situation as the trio mentioned above.

Gnabry has only just returned from a lengthy injury and is tipped to have a massive future at Arsenal. He impressed greatly in his run in the side last season and was expected to earn more opportunities this campaign.

His injury will surely have slowed his progress and a loan may be the best option at this current moment in time. If we look at Arsenal’s lineup against Brighton, we played with Giroud, Walcott, Ozil, and Rosicky in our attacking positions.

This means the likes of Cazorla, Chamberlain (who didn’t even make the bench due to a small knock), and Sanchez were all rested, and that’s not to mention Welbeck and Wilshere who will soon return from injury. It is hard to see where Gnabry fits in the frame of things at the moment.

He was the subject of much transfer speculation in the summer with a host of Premier League clubs reportedly after him for loan, and I think now may be the time to listen to some of those offers. He would get plenty of time on the pitch at most Premier League clubs with the talent he has and I think Wenger should look to keep him in the top flight if possible.

Unless of course Wenger has plans to play him, which would be more than welcomed by gooners, but realistically, we will probably see him go on loan as well. What do you think gooners? Loan or stay for Gnabry? Let us know in the comments down below.
