The Raheem Sterling rumours don’t look like simmering down any time soon, with seemingly endless reports surfacing regarding his contract situation. He has yet to sign an extension and apparently was prepared spurn Liverpool’s offers of fresh terms. This before Liverpool allegedly pulled the plug on a scheduled meeting with the player, which of course only added fuel to the fire.

Several big names in football have commented on the matter, with Thierry Henry being the latest. Henry said Sterling is a fantastic talent and that he would love to see the player at Arsenal. The transfer fee for the player is reportedly upwards of £50 million, but he is worth the trouble?

He is a superb footballer and fantastic prospect for the future, and could help make Arsenal title challengers. He is that good.

But £50 million for a 20 year old is a risk to say the least. I said before that this lad is an exceptional talent and would add much creativity to the side, and that although deal should not be a priority for Arsenal, it should be considered especially if Walcott and or Podolski or Campbell go.

He is worth a shout, but not too much trouble. If Arsenal can get him for a good price or potential swap, then Wenger must consider it. The way things are going however, the saga is threatening to drag on which will only hike up the player’s price most likely.

Wenger must decide whether or not he is truly worth the trouble. What do you think gooners? Is the player really worth the trouble or should Wenger focus on other targets?
