The big one! The game that will decide whether Arsenal are finally ready to kick on to the next level; to return to the upper echelons of English and world football.

We visit Old Trafford.

A stadium where we’ve cried more often than we’ve celebrated – although I’d take a thousand tears to relive THAT Sylvain Wiltord moment; a stadium where we rolled over pathetically to lose 1-0 to the worse Man United side in Premier League history under David Moyes.

That 90-minutes against the Red Devils during the last campaign ranks, for me, as the worst Arsenal game during Arsene Wenger’s reign. Sure, we’ve been battered by Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City, embarrassed by lower league opposition and lost a North London derby or two. However, all those defeats have reason(s) as to why they happened i.e. too relaxed, injuries, wrong formation etc.

That tragic 1-0 defeat doesn’t; it was baffling.

Man United were terrible that day but we were pathetic; it highlighted every single flaw that the media and neutrals consistently say about Wenger’s Arsenal post-Invincibles.

Bagging that elusive win at Old Trafford on Monday night will go along way in banishing our inner demons and mental weaknesses; it is imperitive that we do so.

And you know what? I reckon we can! If, like me, you fancy our chances on Monday then William Hill offers the best football betting odds and will certainly be the place to go if you fancy a flutter.
