Japanese youngster Ryo Miyaichi is a player gooners have high hopes for. Injury and inconsistency have hampered his development but many feel he will still develop into a real asset for the club. He is currently plying his trade with FC Twente in Holland.

Game time accumulated

Miyaichi has appeared in only two games thus far this season, both as a substitute. He has failed to score a goal or register an assist but it is early yet still

Star moments

Again, no stats to report but he has shown flashes of brilliance. He had a few crossess that should have been converted into goals and found himselft in good positions alot of times. His speed can be devastating if he learns to use it to his advantage and I’m interested to see how he progresses.

Ready to return?

The verdict is still out on that, and Miyaichi will still need some game time to further evaluate. A strong season and pre season will hopefully get him back in the first team picture.

Certain permanent departure?

I wouldn’t say for certain that he will depart, but he is at risk of falling even further down the pecking order. The signings made wouldn’t have helped his chances, but he can still get himself in with a shout of first team action.
