Arsène Wenger thinks that goalkeeper Jens Lehmann is being targeted by referees and that more than his fair share of 50-50 decisions go against him.
The German international is no stranger to confrontation on the pitch but Wenger still maintains that referees should remain fair.
Lehmann was again involved in controversy during the match against Tottenham, where it was alleged he elbowed Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov whilst jostling before the corner that resulted in Tottenham's opener.
Wenger said: "I spoke to the linesman at half time and he said to me that Jens put the elbow in the face of the player.
"If he has, he shouldn't have done it.
"Sometimes I feel he is not protected by referees at all on corners.
"They stand on his feet and don't see it, it hurts a lot and that happens to him a lot.
"Sometimes he over-reacts but overall I don't think he gets the same protection as some other keepers."
Meanwhile, the Arsenal manager also revealed that he had shares in the North London club.
With Stan Kroenke increasing his stake in the Gunners, Wenger was asked about his situation: "No but I regret it highly because if I had bought some when I came I would be rich man now."
