Despite starting against Bayern Munich last night, Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina is still expected to leave the club at the end of the season, according to the Times journalist Matt Hughes.

Before the start of the season, it was reported that Arsene Wenger promised the Colombian international more game time, and he was given the guarantee that he would start in all cup competitions.

Although Wenger held up his end of the bargain by naming him in the starting eleven for all Champions League and FA Cup matches so far, it seems Ospina is seeking to become a regular starter at club level once again.

He signed for the Gunners for £3.5m from Nice in 2014 and became established as number one choice ahead of Wojciech Szczesny during the 2014/15 season. The arrival of Petr Cech in the summer of 2015 from Chelsea however reduced his game time.

He should start against Lincoln City in the FA Cup at the weekend but with Arsenal now out of the Champions League, his first team opportunities will be few and far between in the last few months of the season.
