Gaël Clichy is a hugely promising left-back who has always looked at home in the Arsenal first team when called upon. Equally at home attacking the left flank as defending it, Clichy looks to have a long Arsenal career ahead of him.
With the departure of Ashley Cole, he now has the opportunity to make the left-back position his own, being the only specialist player in the squad. He missed large chunks of last season with a long term injury, and will be hoping to get back to full fitness rapidly and cement his spot in a rapidly improving Arsenal side.
