Definitely one of the most skillful and technically brilliant players on our books, Robin van Persie looks like a young man with big things ahead of him. He came to Arsenal with a huge amount of both talent and ego but is starting to settle down now and we're starting to see the best of him.
After coming to Arsenal with a 'bad-boy' reputation, van Persie struggled with his role on the bench inititally. A sending off against Southampton early in his Arsenal career initially looked like spelling the end of his time here - however Robin redoubled his efforts in training and forced his way back into Arsène Wenger's thinking.
After a great World Cup in Germany, van Persie returned to Arsenal full of confidence and maturity to boot. Unfortunately his season was cut down by injury - but now with the departure of THierry Henry, van Persie has the opportunity to become Arsenal's main strike option.
van Persie's swagger and flair reminiscent of many past Arsenal greats. With any luck, he will continue to get better and better.
