Finally Edu has shown us what we knew he could do. He came in and filled in for Patrick Vieira while he was suffering with injury in the earlier months of last season, and filled in wonderfully.

Although a little inconsistent at times, Edu is a big game player with a knack of scoring goals in important matches. A wonderful strike away to Celta de Vigo shows how he has arrived as a player, one who has became an intergral part of the Arsenal squad.

Recently Edu's celebrated the birth of his first child, Luigi, and call ups to the Brazilian national team - Edu was apart of the triumphant Copa America team this summer.
