Mathieu Flamini, No. 16

Profile

Mathieu Flamini

Mathieu Flamini is a versatile French midifelder who is full of running and never seems to tire. His preferred position is in the heart of midfield, but he made his mark in the Arsenal side back in 2006 when he filled in admirably at left back.

He is perhaps not as technically gifted as Cesc Fabregas or Alex Hleb, but he makes up for it with his boundless enthusiasm and willingness to learn. After initially threatening to leave the club this summer, he seems to have gotten his head into gear again and is now committed to the Arsenal cause.
