Who are ya?

Man City’s 21 year old  Serbian centre half Matija Nastasic. Nastasic made waves upon his arrival in 2012 from Fiorentina with impressive displays at the heart of City’s defense alongside Vincent Kompany. Tall and strong with impressive recovery speed, he was an instant hit and it remains a mystery as to what caused his fall from grace. He has fallen out of favour at City having seen the likes of Demichelis and now Mangala join the club and jump him in the pecking order.

Arsene, spend some money! 

Reports have attached a shockingly low fee of just £5 million for the player which would represent quite a steal. Not sure exactly where the figure is coming from, but if there is any truth to this Wenger should jump NOW.  According to some sources, City have offered the player to both us and the spuds in a bid to offload the out of favour defender quickly.

Believability factor-5

I don’t exactly buy into the notion that City would offer the player to Arsenal for such a low price, but I do think the player is available for transfer and is obtainable. His price would probably be closer to around £10 or £15 million if I had to guess, but I hope I am wrong and the player does indeed join for peanuts.

Game changer?-Yes

Nastasic reminds me a lot of Laurent Koscielny which is never a bad thing. They are extremely similar in their reading of the game, recovery speed, strength, and aggression. Nastasic is of course far less experienced, but makes up for it in his grit and endeavor. He has an inch taller than Koscielny as well which is a positive.
