Barcelona are hovering about the Emirates like the vultures they’re, that is according to The Metro who link the Spanish giants with a move for Hector Bellerin.

The right-back, of course, fled La Masia to move to north London under the stewardship of Arsene Wenger at the age of 16.

Bellerin’s rise to prominence this season has only come around due to Mathieu Debuchy’s two long term injuries and the growing realisation that Calum Chambers is a centre-back rather than RB.

A few nervy performances, as you’d expect, against the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Stoke City away, however, overall the Spaniard has shown to be an exciting and useful option for Arsenal.

With Carl Jenkinson more than likely joining West Ham in the summer and Debuchy reaching the age of 30 this summer, it won’t be long before Bellerin is our established right back for several seasons.

You just have to hope he doesn’t harbour ambitions to return to the Nou Camp like Cesc Fabregas.
