Dennis Bergkamp

Profile

Dennis Bergkamp

Walking along, singing a song, walking in a Bergkamp wonderland ... it's all going to be over soon. At the end of season 2005/2006, Dennis Bergkamp is retiring from football. The messiah, the genius, will be gone. The arrival of José Antonio Reyes and Robin van Persie will relegate 'Sir' Dennis to the number four striker spot for his final season so appearances will be less and less as the season grinds down toward its close.

Make no mistake, his loss will be a great one for Arsenal. The vision, the creativity he brings with him onto Highbury's hallowed pitch will be sorely missed. He is by far, one of the greatest EVER players to play for Arsenal, and one of the greatest EVER to play our beautiful game.

Enjoy it while it lasts people, because there'll never be another Dennis Bergkamp. Ever.
