Sol Campbell

Profile

Sol Campbell

Awesome. Very near to being the complete defender. Is as fast as any player in England and knows how to use his strength. Rises to the big occasion. Years at Spurs have meant he's now desperate for any success and will lead by example to get it.

Alongside Kolo Touré, Campbell made up one half of the best defence in the league, as Arsenal went undefeated in 2003/04. On his day, nothing can get past him.

However, injury struck in 2004/05, and Campbell missed a large chunk of the season, with his place being taken by Phillipe Senderos. A fit again Campbell will be instrumental to Arsenal's push to reclaim the Premiership title back from Chelsea.
