Today is Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg’s birthday and, you know what, I usually skim over those social media posts of club’s wishing former players a good day and retweeting endless propaganda. However, I bloody loved Freddie and I decided to join in on the former Swedish international’s day of celebration.

After Marc Overmars, I’ve always felt that our loveable red headed mohican was, perhaps not underrated, but never classed along with the likes of Pires, Vieira, Henry and Bergkamp despite more than deserving to be.

Join me for some of the former West Ham midfielder’s more iconic moments in an Arsenal shirt!

Two absolute beauties for us to deservedly beat Chelsea 2-0 in the FA Cup Final; sure, Raymondo Parlour’s was nice but Ljungberg’s was delicious!

Not a classic goal by any stretch of the imagination, however, what I love about this goal from Ljungberg is summed up in the commentary; he was a big game player and loved a key goal!

The Swede loved a goal against Manchester United and none were more impressive than this delightful chipped effort!

Sure, it’s all about Bergkamp’s world-class assist but someone had to finish it!

Before we go…sorry, Freddie but you knew it was coming!

Happy Birthday, Freddie!
