Arsenal fans rejoiced last night as fierce rivals Tottenham saw their Champions League dreams ended thanks to a 2-1 defeat to Monaco, with one game to go in their group.

Mauricio Pochettino opted to field a weak back line, leaving both Jan Vertonghen and Kyle Walker on the bench, with Danny Rose the only first choice defender starting.

His decision proved costly with the unsettled back four looking hopeless at times as the hosts spurned chances in the first half.

Spurs had France international Hugo Lloris to thank when he saved former Man United and Chelsea striker Radamel Falcao’s penalty before the break. The second side in North London wasted a brilliant chance to take the lead when England international Dele Alli put Son through one-on-one with the ‘keeper, a chance he somehow managed to ruin.

Monaco finally made the visitors pay after the interval as they broke the deadlock, before Harry Kane levelled the scoreline from the spot. There was more joy for Gunners fans, who know their side are already in the knockout stages, as just 38 seconds after Kane’s goal, the Ligue 1 side were back in front again, a goal which ended Pochettino’s dreams of European success this season.

Needless to say the news was met with jubilation on Twitter from Arsenal fans, here are FIVE of the best reactions…
