Not that Arsenal should need much more motivation to face United, they have been granted it anyway with the news of Van Gaal’s recent injury nightmare. So much as ten man have gone done with injury ahead of the clash, arguably the most important of which being David De Gea.

The Spaniard has been heroic between the sticks for United this year and will be a massive miss for them. Coupled with injuries to an already shaky back line, United are even more “there for the taking” than they have been in recent years.

De Gea dislocated his finger in Spain training and is listed as questionable for Saturday, with the full extent of the injury yet to be determined. The international break has been particularly unkind to United, as De Gea joins the likes of Carrick and Daley Blind to have gone down over this period.

This coming after Phil Jones, Rafael, Johnny Evans, Marcos Rojo, Ashley Young, and Falcao all went down with injury prior. Most are a massive doubt for United, but as many as five could return to the bench at most. Luke Shaw and Di Maria were added to the list yesterday as well after knocks against Scotland and Portugal respectively, but both are expected to be minor. Nonetheless, United are vulnerable to say the least.

Arsenal aren’t exactly full strength at the moment either though, still reeling from the loss of Mesut Ozil, Mikel Arteta, Laurent Koscielny, and Mathieu Debuchy, but are much better off then United and should feel confident of winning the battle of the wounded. Arsenal are boosted by the recent returns of Walcott and now Giroud as well and will be looking to get back on track in the league.

The onus is on our lads, and with things shaping up the way they are, Arsenal should get this result. A response is required and demanded, the time is now.

One response to “The biggest boost of all ahead of Arsenal vs Man United?”

Much as Utd have so much injury concern, Arsenal also have their own fair share 2.
Much I would have loved Arsenal 2 win dis game easily, I just don’t think wenger has d tactical know how 2 outsmart Van gal.
Wenger is d biggest problem of our team, and d earlier he steps down 4 another 2 take over d better 4 d team.
He (Wenger) has lost d drive
    I pray we win 3-1
