As is customary for the vast majority of Premier League clubs nowadays, a new home jersey hits the shelves every season with the two-year rotation seeming to have disappeared entirely.

With new designs usually come new transfers and while older generations may be swayed by donning retro kits of old, younger kids love to get their favourite heroes’ names on the back.

If we’re honest, a few years ago it was incredibly dangerous to get an Arsenal player’s name on the back of your shirt so early into the summer!

With former heroes Robin van Persie and Cesc Fabregas having gone on to leave, selecting a players’ name to wear all season is tricky business but luckily enough, the Gunners seem to have banished their selling habit more recently.

Whenever a new Arsenal kit is released, the designers Puma know that they can’t radicalise the design too much.

After all, Arsenal are synonymous with a red body and white sleeves and to tamper with this would be to tamper with the club’s heritage.

So this year, the added design element has been a faded dark stripe down the central portion of the front of the shirt and on the whole, this has been well received by Gooners.

But which FIVE names are Arsenal fans clambering to get printed on their new shirts this season? Here’s who we think they might go for!
