Arsenal vs Manchester United for years was the premier match up in England and in the world depending on who you asked. The 90’s were full of heated Arsenal and United clashes. Tempers flared, tackles came flying in, as did goals, and the matches were always full of bad blood and good football. Viera and Keane weren’t the best of friends to put it mildly, neither were Wenger and Sir Alex and the matches always promised a spectacle.

The edge has been taken off of this match recently given Wenger and Ferguson’s apparent new found friendship in the past few years before the latter’s departure. Last year’s two fixtures against Moyes weren’t exactly blockbuster affairs and now with Van Gaal at the helm, fans on both side aren’t exactly sure what to expect.

Ahead of today’s match, I thought it would fun to re-live some of the best moments of this fixtures from years past.
