Arsenal are set to close out the season at home to West Brom today. A series of poor results have dashed Arsenal’s hopes of a runners up finish, but a strong performance today is imperative to take into next weekend’s FA Cup final. Third place is all but secure for Arsenal, sitting three points above United and with a far superior goal differential. Wenger says he hopes to banish any fear or anxiety left in the Arsenal faithful after they witnessed their side play out a scoreless draw against Sunderland in the last match.

“We have used our hiccups now at home and we we want to go on the final day finishing on a high and send the fans back home in peace ready for next season,” Wenger said. “It is also important in the Premiership that they go home full of hope.”

He added: “The confidence level [going into the FA Cup final] will come from recent results, and the important result will, of course, be from the game against West Brom, so it is vital.” The boss said it best, recent results build momentum, and if Arsenal are to best prepare for next weekend, it starts an hour from now. Take a look at three things to look for in today’s match.
