Every club has that player (or several players) who started so brightly but quickly plummeted into obscurity. As a fan it is probably one of the most frustrating things to witness, a player with much potential being brought in to the club and showing glimpses at first but eventually nosediving. We can all think of dozens of players to have floundered miserably after pulling on an Arsenal shirt and it a mystery as to what went so wrong for these players. Some found the physicality and pace of premier league particularly difficult, others simply weren’t suited for Arsenal’s style of play. We would be here all day if I mentioned every player to have disappointed me during his time at Arsenal, but I will limit myself to just five (lucky you Chamakh).
