Arsenal are in the hat for the fourth round of the FA Cup, which will be drawn at the BT Tower this evening and shown live on BT Sport ahead of Cambridge v Leeds.
The Gunners are through after another goal from Olivier Giroud saved Arsene Wenger’s blushes late on at Preston North End, avoiding a replay with a 2-1 win over their Championship opposition.
The ties, draw by former Gunner Martin Keown and ex-England international Michael Owen, will be played over the weekend commencing 28th January.
The ball for Arsenal fans to look out for is number 20, with others to keep your eye on being Man United (3), Man City (8), Chelsea (13), Liverpool or Plymouth (17) and north London rivals, Tottenham, who are number 26.
A tie against fellow Premier League big boys would, undoubtedly, be entertaining and one for the neutrals to get stuck into. However, with games coming thick and fast over the next few months, Arsene Wenger & Co. will want safe passage into the next round.
It must be noted however, that drawing a minnow in the next round is far from ideal, a smaller side will no doubt be fired up for what would be their biggest game in years, which presents a very real banana skin for the Gunners.
So, with that in mind, here are the THREE best ties Arsenal could get this evening…
