I don’t want to talk about the result and I’m sure you don’t either. How Arsenal managed to lose to such an utterly average side is beyond me. I don’t know what it will take for Arsenal to learn. To make matters worse, Arsenal have now lost Jack Wilshere and Wojciech Szczesny through injury and both look fairly serious unfortunately. Its his ankle again for Wilshere after a challenge from Paddy McNair. He knew straight away his game was over for him and signaled to the medical staff. Coupled with the unfortunate own goal, it was pretty much the worst 8 minute period I’ve seen on a football pitch for quite some time.

Twitter agreed with me and has this to say:

@henrywinter

“Bad few minutes for . Wilshere eventually limps off after bad McNair challenge. Then Gibbs og. Szczesny off for Martinez after collision”

@espnfc

“More problems for Arsenal. Either side of the Gibbs own goal, Jack Wilshere and Wojciech Szczesny have both been forced off through injury.”

@mootaz_lfc

“Gibbs own goal. Wilshere just gone off injured and now Szczesny is coming off injured too! Incredible.”

@offsideliam

Wilshere and SzczÄ™sny subbed off due to injuries and a Gibbs own-goal. This last 5 minutes couldn’t have gone better.”

@wayneveysey

Wilshere gets the ankle injuries partly because of his playing style, running style & physiology. Really vulnerable in that area.”

@droggystyle

“Jack Wilshere is injured….in other news water is wet!”

Unbelievable result and unbelievable events.

    Well said Adnan. That I’m gutted is an understatement. Jack wanted 2 impress @ d expense of d team & now United has done another one on us. I’ve given up hope of Arsenal ever winning any match against even a w0 man United team anywhere any day. This hurts really bad fellas.

    This another painful defeat / in the similar fashion. The question should be: when are we going to learn. Failure is there to make you learn and improve. What could be our real challenge? Is it the manager? Is it the players? Is it we supporters? Or the board? What is our real problem?
