WHAT A FINISH. Scrappy and a bit fortunate, but a fantastic display of heart from Arsenal. The lads made it difficult for themselves, but last gasp goals from Kieran Gibbs and Lukas Podolski gave Arsenal a comeback victory. Arsenal were fortunate to be fair, but probably deserved their fortune having dominated the match for its entirety. What I took from the match specifically was the impact of some of Arsenal’s fringe players. Campbell and Podolski were impressive yet again especially the German having rifled home the winner. A splendid gift to the boss on his 65th birthday, and the twitter sphere was full of grateful Arsenal fans. Here are a few of my favorites.
Arsenal’s north American scout Daniel Karbassiyoon tweeted this:
“What a finish. Happy Birthday Boss! #AFC”

“Gibbs really deserved that goal. Has been one of our best players in recent weeks. Seriously under-rated player #AFC”

“Sanchez is just awesome! He virtually saves us every match! Everyone else seems to be tired, dispirited and lazy. Campbell should start #afc”
@sonorcimspon
“Glad to see @joel_campbell12 get another run out for a while, hope he keeps getting more and more game time, huge potential! #AFC”
