Arsenal veteran Tomas Rosicky has heralded Gunners superstar Mesut Ozil as crucial to the Gunners title race, ahead of this weekend’s crunch-tie with Leicester City.

Arsene Wenger’s side go into the game five points behind the Foxes and the result could have a decisive effect on where Arsenal finish come May.

Whilst Arsenal still have work to do, Ozil could be the catalyst towards success as the World Cup winner has a brilliant record of 16 assists and six goals in the Premier League this season- and Rosicky believes he can be decisive in the final months of the campaign.

Speaking to Arsenal’s official website, the Czech Republic international said:

“Mesut was always a special talent and you could see that when he arrived here,”

“He was out for some time last season so he couldn’t find his rhythm, but now, after playing since the start of the season, everyone here can see how big a talent he is.”

“The best thing that I like about Mesut is that he’s not forcing the final passes. We all know he has a great final ball, but you can see that he only plays it when the game gives him that opportunity.”

“If it’s not there then he’s not forcing it and he’s combining with other teammates instead. That’s the thing I like most about him.”

However, Ozil can’t carry Arsenal’s title hopes alone but fortunately he will be aided by Alexis Sanchez, who’s recently returned to fitness, and Rosicky heralded the Chilean as a game changer.

“[Ozil] and Alexis Sanchez are the game-changers. Both of them have the strength to win games, so it’s vital for the team’s title chances that they perform well.”

Rosicky himself is out of action once again after suffering an injury upon his return against Burnley, with it unlikely he will extend his contract before it’s expiration this summer.
