After a season that has seen the Gunners first team gel as well as they ever have, there has been no shortage of grunt from the midfield and definitely no lacking in the finish. Despite the ability to group together a top 20 goals of the year segment, take a look at the goals that rank as the Gunners’ top 5 of the 2015/2016 season.

Giroud’s bicycle kick

Having the foot on the pedal during this Selhurst Park match up, Özil crossed it to the Frenchman who stylishly met the ball whilst in full flight, sending it into the far corner. Dominant and enterprising, the Gunners’ key players made the difference early in the second period to get a 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace to get their first 3 points of the season.

The finesse of Walcott

Once again it’s our man Özil who served up Theo Walcott on the half-hour mark. The movement lasted only a few seconds but enough time for the England International to shift and strike a nice curved shot in the opposite corner of Joe Hart’s net. Solid and tactically clever in the first half, Arsenal got an important 2-1 win against Manchester City.

The irresistible attack

Authors of an incredible first half, the Gunners demolished the toothless Red Devils 3-0. In two minutes, Sanchez and Özil both scored, killing the match. The speed, impact and touch on that goal from the Chilean is simply astonishing.

The saviour header of guess who?

Held on the scoreboard until the last second, the Gunners pulled off a decisive victory in the race for title against Leicester in a 2-1 victory thanks to a beautiful header from the saviour Danny Welbeck.

Wenger’s men made it 1-0 with their first attempt after a gorgeous link up between Hector Bellerin and Aaron Ramsey. While the Gunners could only escape with a point, they certainly left an impression on the match with this beautiful connection.
